Yeah, retail versions are rare on PC nowadays. And the Steam Sales are more like putting more stickers into your sticker album, rather than buying hours upon hours of entertainment. ---

Yeah but the thing is the prices on amazon are shit here compared to steam/gog and if you wait too long they’re out of stock and resold by scalpers for terrible prices. or the prices are shit to begin with. not paying 200€ for some fucking limited edition with a small figurine. ---

nah steam and gog usually rip you hard bunch of times the price drops pretty fast for games, ex: mafia 3 is still 29.99 on steam right now still like 10$ for new on amazon so like steam 66% off but thats the normal price not the limited time only buy shit right now sale price here atleast, the basic copies of retail drop in price as they get tired storing them/people dont buy them, the digital copies dont until the publisher says to lower the price ---

> [@dinscurge](#): > > nah steam and gog usually rip you hard Not during sales, though. And I very rarely buy if there isn’t at least a 50% discount…years later when the games are already dirt cheap. But by then you’re gonna have a hard time finding retail versions of them in stores for a good price. ---

> [@TheDiddilyHorror](#): > > Not during sales, though. ye but if the game you want does go on sale waiting forever some times/can only buy it when steam decides to not be a dick for one weekend ---
