Not that I need it. Nothing huge or fancy. I just want a nice knife with thick blade stock that is full tang. Again, not that I really need it. Maybe that’s some weird “who knows, maybe I’ll really need one in the future and it would suck if I can’t buy one anywhere cause society is all fucked up and I don’t have the new wasteland currency to buy one” thinking. ---

This is why i love my current job. I do jack shit half of the time and often get congratulated for my hard work. Ive spent over an hour just standing around and chatting with the QA person with my boss saying asking a question and not even acknowledging my pressence. ---

Happened today, actually. Was on a phone call with him and when he turned to one of my colleagues at the office (I telecommute) for two minutes and he had to remind him that I was still on the phone with him. I would have said something but I thought I was in the convo anyway, until he went “oh, right, you’re still here! Oops, sorry.” Sometimes I feel like the Bastard Operator from Hell but most of the time… it feels good to be the only technically-minded person in the company when it comes to the computers and network. It feels good to be needed. ---
