ex: if you lived in the dead center of north america, people will really still be like you should cut the loops in the little plastic thing that holds the 6 packs of bottles together because some turtle or fish might get stuck in there, because you know when the trash pickup comes, they just drive the side loader like 1500miles one way to the ocean nearest their convenience and just dump it off the end of the pier. because you know, thats the most economic way to deal with your trash versus say taking it to a land fill/incinerator whatever thats prolly within ~10miles of your house
act like banning straws in new york is gonna save the ocean wildlife or something, as if thats the people dumping all the shit in the ocean in the first place, i mean thats why theres so many videos of their trash companies out there literally every day just dumping entire truckloads like every 30min
