Fucking this. Not just pants. I could buy a medium shirt and it could be the largest shirt i own and yet i have larges that are too small 
too true and it gets worse when regions of cloths are vastly different in what their sizes should be. like the UK and EU large are no where near the same and I have t-shirts that are American Large but there huge on me and more like XL here.
Even with the same brand and model the sizes can vary. Can depend on the factory and also some brands like Levi’s make them smaller on purpose cause of the “you need to be thin” craze.
And there I thought I found a pair I can just buy off the shelve without having to try them on first…what a pain in the ass. No wonder I only buy a new pair of jeans ever 3-4 years.
