Ending it quick is too nice. They need to understand how bad they fucked up
Or learn to handle reality. Apparently he submitted his idea in a contest and wasnât chosen. Setting a building and employees on fire is how he responded to reality.
The manga/anime business is tough. Writing/drawing a new chapter bi-monthly isnât easy even if your work is deemed good. Youâre expected to keep the quality and story at a consistent level so the number of readers doesnât decline. Bakaman and Shirobako give some insight into the world of manga artists and anime producers. The amount of stress they experience is insane, especially as it combines work with their passion. If something you create and put all your effort into is met with a âmehâ reaction from your readers/viewers it must put a lot of pressure on you. And the possibility of getting cancelled and told to wrap your series up in the next chapter is always on their mind when numbers decrease.
That said, this dude couldnât even handle a rejection before he was serialized. This business is clearly not for him. Imagine how many ânot good enoughâ and x amount of changes those artists get before a chapter gets approves.
And on top of that, do you have an idea how many manga/anime include the same tropes? Of course there are a lot of them where you think âwell, this is just like xyz but with this instead of thatâ.
Itâs a shame that so many people died because of this embarrassment of an adult.
Aoba was reported to have suffered from a mental illness and held a criminal history prior to the incident. In 2012, he reportedly robbed a convenience store with a knife in Ibaraki and was subsequently jailed for 3.5 years.[72][73] Aobaâs mental illness may reduce his maximum penalty for the attack from death sentence to life imprisonment.
im surprised they only got 3.5 years knowing how hard japan is about criminal activities.
Not only criminal activities but also when it comes to gun and knife laws iirc.
yeah. Anything violent (or drug based) and your career is pretty over in japan
They donât like that at all.
Yeah. ive heard of peoples careers ending over a single gram of weed. Plus the yakuza are into blackmailing their customers so you really cant even get it unless you grow it yourself but even then that has its own consequences.
thought about moving to japan but that was a HUGE NOPE
at one point when I was really into my Japanese music phase I wanted to go and maybe live there at least for a couple of years or so just to take in the culture but never came to anything mostly because It would be really expensive todo.
Cost didnt appear to be anything major for tourism but didnt like the looks of moving there full time.
Yeah. Iâve got a buddy who did live there for awhile and they apparently have places that donât allow non-Japanese. He told me a story of how he was getting weird looks and almost told to leave until his girlfriend at the time showed up at a restaurant.
I say expensive but this was about the time where I probably had about ÂŁ100 to my name and that was it. full time accommodation iirc wasnât too terrible but only if you didnât mind living in a really tiny spaces packed together, thats if your living in the city though
Yeah. If i was going to move anywhere then i would have gone north but the work would have been non-exsistant.
They donât like foreigners moving there. Japan is pretty racist.
as I heard someone call it before and itâs quite an accurate term imo.
Looks at white nationalist grandfather
Appears to not just be limited to japan
They donât like foreigners but the economy over there really needs it. there is a serve population shortage because the Japanese arenât getting it off and they donât have enough people to replae the jobs.
