Yeah, but I’m on Ubuntu now (with KDE cause apparently neither Gnome nor Budgie have a shortcut for brightness/automatic screen off in the task panel).

on the panel ui or a keyboard shortcut? I’m pretty sure it does at least for brightness?
Panel. Fn keys don’t work for me (they’ve always been fuckey for me under linux, no matter what distro).
oh right. least for gnome there’s extensions that do add the functionality even if it isn’t default.

I tried one of those but I couldn’t add it to the panel. So I just went back to KDE
