real reason is that Samsungs 8nm sucks ass so they had to over engineer those special coolers which are rumoured to cost around $155 each so its a soft launch on “Founders cards” and AIBs are gonna pick up the slack with more experience cards that run louder and hotter.

its only in a path tracing game they tested at specific settings, so far hardly seen over like 70%, one was like 92, but if you compare conventional games, isnt even 100% faster than a 1080ti, yet it draws more power then a 1080ti, they were talking about a 2080 not a 1080ti
its vastly slower then they tried to say, i mean the next gen card in like 2 years might be 100% more perf per watt then a 2080
similar thing happen to the PlayStaton 5, it was sold it everywhere almost instantly and my brother spent most of the day yesterday trying to find one. He eventually did and ended up having to get the blu-ray model as it was the only one left in stock but there already on ebay and people are selling the base model for as much or even more than the more expensive unit at retail.

Was he planing to buy all games for full price with the digital-only PS5? I have a feeling that will bite a lot of people in the ass in the long run. Digital sales are rare and there’s no used games market.
Well, it’s not as if I can talk as a PC gamer. It’s been ages since I last bought the retail version of a game, but also due to a lot of games not getting a retail version (and it’s not as if there’s a used market for digital games on PC either, but Steam/GoG/Humble sales are pretty good).
Oh, and fuck Sony with a big rubber dick for this “sign up for maybe being able to pre-order it” shit. This is as much anti-consumer bullshit as what Deus Ex: Mankind Devided did with that “if x people pre-order it then for our last goal we’ll release it a few days earlier”.
ye, he never bought disc games for the PlayStation 4 and got everything digital anyway, he only really plays FIFA and a couple of PlayStation exclusive titles on it though with everything else being on PC.
