The white walkers are just the dude at the bar constantly hyping himself up for how great in bed he is, but is already cleaning up accident #3 after showing him you bra. A literal army of ice zombies as far as the eye can see and its over in a few quick action cuts and a shitty twist because “haha twist go brrrrrrr”

$220 for that thing. 1TB. So if you want more storage for your Series S you end up paying $20 more than if you bought a (more powerful) Series X. So much for that “cheap” $300 next-gen console…

$220. The Series S is $300.
Charging over 2/3 of the price of a console for more storage is even more shady than what Apple asks for.

ye is supposed to fast tho lol

like ~2x the speed of this peasant drive which is 313$ for 1tb

edits:
supposedly like 4500mB/s with ps5 being like 5000

Yeah, but with regular SSDs (be it m.2 or SATA) I have the choice how much storage I want to buy and for what price.
One option from one manufacturer with a proprietary connection ain’t a choice.

And that $300 Samsung one ain’t the only option. There are cheaper ones that perform even better than that 970 Pro. Like the 980 Pro which is cheaper AND performs better. 209€ or $244 for that one.

But again, on PC I have a choice. Shit, even on the PS3/4 / XBOne you had a choice. You could just swap the HDD that came with it for whatever you wanted, even SSDs.
Now you can’t. You can’t replace it and if you want more storage then you only have one option (not a choice). You can choose to not buy it, though.

ye but nvme not exactly consumer friendly for tool less/easy to install etc

like making a drive sled you couldnt install it in backwards, didnt require tiny screw, would securely hold it for proper alignment/retention when they stick it in,like theres some with chips on the front, some with chips on both sides, some with coolers and shiz pre applied

lot easier with a basic 2.5, less delicate pins/more obvious offest which side has the pins and which doesnt

that doesn’t matter on pc anyway for the most part. neither are regular hdds/ssds. or cpus. or gpus. or mobos.

and neither was replacing the slow hdd in a console.

nobody prevents those retarded crotch goblins from just pulling it out while gamer™ daddy plays fifa or call of black ops and slurps on his micro-brew monster energy.

It should be expected that people can read manuals. most of them do have pictures.

nah they used to be easy pz

not like something people make memes about how the screw has to be like the smallest possible screw ever for m.2

i mean not even supposed to touch the gold pins, let alone just jam it in etc

mean cant have a simple door with a single screw and you just stick the drive in and it either works or you flip it over and then it goes in all the way and works, then put door back

will be like stick it in the thing hinge it down, put the screw in one of the 3-4 slots for it, how many gonna lose the screw and then it wont work?, or lose the screw into the console and short something out etc

That’s the same as with the new one though. The XBO didn’t have that. you had to take it apart.

ye but pree sure you not supposed to/they tell you not to with xbo

didn’t stop people from doing it. and aren’t those “warranty void if seal is removed” stickers not applicable to the EU?

think so but dunno if applies to software agreements and such

like if they agree to not use third party drives/different or modified firmwares etc

like think is in relation to say a laptop saying you cant open it at all or you void the warranty, not if you agree to not modify the hardware if you want to keep using their software service
