Little of both. Never re-encoded something before. My use of handbrake is mostly limited to that of converting lossless or DVD ripping ---

100% usable. Can even play competive games with it running the background Just a bit of scheduler latency thuogh ---

well compressed again 😛 mpeg2 or whatev on dvds is just shittily compressed lol but the variable bitrate one is basically just you input a quality setting, and it varies the bit rate per scene whatever, with the fixed you have to manually set it/just know what bit rate is sufficient for the quality/size you want, and it takes longer usually is pretty easy to get it goin for basic use though, other than if you want as much compression as possible without losing data, have to start messing with encoding tuning bunch of extra settings and stuff edit: although you can set by time/frames how much to do, so you can do sample clip of couple min or something to compare, but will vary scene to scene and such ---

Nice. I had an interesting start to night shift lol, rainy … Well more like misting, and 60 degrees out. Mildly irritating. But now it’s not raining anymore so there’s that anyway.
