The secretary of education is Betsy DeVos aka another business type person who’s looking to make money. That doesn’t pair well with education. The fact that multiple people were denied to pay the school lunch debt for students tells you all you need to know. At the same time parents are threatened consequences if they can’t pay.

The current administration is an utter failure on so many levels and in so many areas, I’m surprised the US hasn’t completely collapsed as a country.

But enough with the pol rant. This is supposed to be a funny place after all.

How I feel after getting out of the shower and immediately dripping with sweat again.

Some of the prices are fucking insane too. Pizza day on friday from little cesears so $5 for 8 slices. Was $3/slice for seconds. Each meal was a tiny pint of milk, a slice of pizza, and maybe a roll or two for $5.

Wait, so the school ordered from Little Caesars? That doesn’t sounds like a very good deal for school lunch at all.
All you need is dough, sauce, cheese and some pepperoni. Make them rectangular on those huge baking sheets. Give them some salad on the side. Done.
It’s been a long time since I last ordered pizza. Sure, it’s not the same at all when I make it myself or my grandma, but it’s cheaper.

What I also find ridiculous is this thing where adding toppings increases the price but removing them doesn’t decrease it. When you order online here you can’t really ask them to replace one topping with another one. They’ll just remove one, add the other and increase the price even though the amount of toppings hasn’t changed (and I’m aware different toppings have different prices, but I mean from the same price category).

So now I just buy the pre-made dough (covers a whole baking sheet from the oven), sauce, cheese and toppings and for the price of one ordered pizza I can make 2 myself.
but it’s no secret that cooking yourself is cheaper than takeout/dining out (they have to pay their staff, location rent, stoves and such, electricity/water bills, etc which all add to the cost, they obviously can’t just charge for the price of the ingredients).

solution. Just let me make whatever the fuck i want and charge me accordingly. Kinda like subway. Though i wish the prices were much more transparent. Both the ingredients not showing what they cost and what it costs for extra. Also stupid american shit like sales tax being calculated during the transaction instead of being absorbed by the item. So something labeled as costing a $1 actually end up costing about $1.10

Here when ordering McDonald’s you can add a double cheesebruger and remove all the toppings even the patty and bun and its still £1.59 for absolutely nothing XD

They do show that here. I usually used the Pizza Margharita as a base cost reference cause it’s literally just dough, sauce and cheese.

And it actually costs the same (at this pizza place) when you add the toppings on a cheese pizza or select one of the ones that already have specific toppings on them.

Shows how broken this system is.

Cheese balls filled with sauce

I mean its Uber Eats so are you surprised? lol

There system won’t even let me order when I’m using my VPN because I’m too far away even when I’ve told them my exact address XD

I’m pretty much with done ordering food as most places here use either Lieferando or Mjam (our versions of those food delivery services). The fee they add on EACH dish adds up to an insane amount (and of course you have to order multiple things to get over the minimum order value).

here when ordering stuff like this the only insane thing is the delivery cost though my sister has a knack for getting discount codes for ~30% off all the time which makes it not so bad.

Delivery is “free” if you order via Lieferando/Mjam cause they add the fee already to the dishes. You just have to reach a certain minimum order value.
Most places (McDonalds, Burger King and one of those small Asian noodle/sushi places) are all nearby, so I rather go there myself instead of ordering. I’m tempted to order from the Asian restaurant I used to order from a while ago but they moved and I’m not sure if they kept the same chefs (and if they even still deliver here). Maybe it’s for the better cause the bill was usually ~40€ (4 lunch meals w/ spring rolls, 3 side dishes). It was usually enough for 2-3 days for us but still seems expensive.

ye my local pizza place is 0.2 miles away or a 2 minute walk and its like ÂŁ3.50 for delivery and a 40 minute wait, I can just go down their and get something in 10-20 minutes
