I see our tax dollars are being placed into good hands

Of course it is! The cigar industry literally supports the economies of some nations. 300 sets of hands touch each cigar made, so I’ve effectively given that money to almost 90,000 people this year!

Double that if they’re made by authentic pirates.

hey they stole them fair and square from the other pirates that stole them from the people trying to ship them

Nah, they had to make them with just one hand cause their hooks aren’t of any use for rolling cigars.

nah what if they got those cool claw hooks where its 2 like a pair of needle nose? could tuck the end real gud

The game is free on Steam btw, a nice puzzle game.

Got an Olight i3t EOS (AAA).

And it’s going back.
Who thought that 180 lumen (for ~21min) and 5 lumen (for ~16h) were good steps? It’s either bright af for not even half an hour or very dim light for more than half a day.
Accessories are…non-existent. No keychain thingy, no holster, no replacement o-rings, nothing.
The quality might be good (at least that’s my first impression, no idea how it would hold up) but the brightness modes are too far apart to be useful (to me).

So it’s going back and I’ll try the Lumintop Tool AAA instead (110, 32, 5 lumen modes + accessories for cheaper, but maybe also lower quality?).

And I also ordered a bit set cause I need more Y bits. It’s a cheap one for 11€ so I’m not gonna expect premium quality. If it sucks I’ll replace it with an iFixit Mako.
Also, what is up with the naming scheme for Y bits? There’s 000, 00, 0, 1, 2, 3 but also 0.6, 0.8, 1.5, 2.5? The iFixit kit seems to have the proper ones but it’s 3x the price of the cheap kit and not available before July 7th.

Update:

Lumintop Tool AA 2.0

Ordered the Olight i3T EOS before and the brightness levels made no fucking sense to me (5 and 180 lumen).
So I sent it back and got the Lumintop Tool AAA instead but decided that the Tool AAA 2.0 offered more for just a few € more (14€ vs 17€; and the i3T was 22€), so I got that one.

Only had it for ~5min now and the first impression is great. The steps in brightness are well spaced and fortunately strobe is not on the standard half-press rotation (5x quick half-step presses to access it). The memory function is also handy (I have a flashlight that will go to the next level in the rotation if you turn it back on too quickly which sucks cause strobe is on that rotation…).

did buy dat keytar lel

now to see if it gets broken in the mail/shows up in like 2 weeks

bought for couple reasons

eventhough way more expensive than old timey price, still cheaper than a new keytar midi controller,
where the more expensive new ones would have more assignable effect buttons, those dont work at all without the paired computer/software to actually have the samples and stuff

has midi output but also has built in voices which some are pretty usable directly, but also has instrument out, apparently the bend wheel/whatever, the vibrato portamento and sustain buttons(the 3 by the wheel where it says effect) are also usable in midi, and has velocity/analog keys so you can press harder/softer

so you can use any range of guitar/line level whatever effects, wireless systems etc

has batteries or external power(right next to the instrument out plug)

the size is fairly compact instead of yuuge, light weight, uses normal guitar straps

I never understood the price of the original but this bigger one actually makes sense
Well, until they all sell out inevitably

Linus explained it on the WAN Show, pretty much all the cost in the water bottle is the shipping, distribution and all that and not the cost of the actual bottle which is why the bigger one also costs exactly the same as the smaller one.
