also @Michael it will only ask if you want to contine building if there is no new updates
the strange thing is that it has no new updates and passes the check anyway.
your git might not return the same thing after git pull
oh right, can’t believe I missed that. git on fedora returns Already up-to-date
instead of Already up to date
.
@Dje4321 tried it on a fresh Fedora container and have the same issues, maybe something in Fedora is broken?
can i get the output.log file?
also ive always had trouble compiling cataclysm-dda on fedora
Here you go:
output.log (522.3 KB)
and yeah I’ve always had trouble compiling a lot of things on fedora not just cataclysm.
remove LTO=1, CCACHE=1, CLANG=1 from the make commands on lines 33 and 38
yep that works. problem is with LTO and will compile without the flag but I’m not really sure why.
gcc must be acting weird on your machine
figures, when I was reading up on it earlier some indicated that gcc may have bugs with Link-time optimization so that might be it.
edit: hmm both fedora and arch are using the same version of gcc and arch is fine.
might have different patches though
Possibility. oh well. I’ll just compile it on arch and transfer it over i guess.
LTO is not necessary, i just have it in the script because i can use it
yep, i’d rather have it though if I can because potential performance improvements but realistically may not even notice.
neat so there is a metal emoji on here
