i mean yes but i dont think thats what it means, being from an online only retail shop lol

You wouldn’t download a car, would you?
Hackers can download physical goods, right?

i mean you could in theory still do things with credit cards and then use those to buy the things but usually you cant directly hack for that kind of thing lol

You’d get found out through the shipping address though (even if it’s just a PO box), so they can trace it back.

i mean if you are smart you fake that too but
i totally don’t know about that at all

/s?

mostly though just know it from people i know having to deal with people trying to rip off their crredit cards lol.
which is annoying when it happens, which is basically whenever you go to a large cities gas station that doesn’t have cameras and such in it (or a store, but those are less likely… mostly… ish)

oh also
figured out a way I can bring two LAN pc’s along to quakecon
build an ITX system (just need case and mobo probably, unless i feel an urge to get another 2400g which is maaaaybbbe) and then build a small form factor ATX build out of the stuff I already have. either with a 2400G and no GPU or a cheapish ryzen (like the 1200 or 1500X i have) and a decent lowend GPU and then do that. I still have my GTX 950 somewhere that I think works so might use that.

but will be able to stuff them both into the suitcases that are going with so will be super cheap compared to shipping full computers

Kabini. If some poor SOB couldn’t bring their own, you can provide them with the weakest APU the desktop has to offer, but is still a quad-core.

Look, $100. And it’s the overclockable ASUS board too.

but y tho
is just for myself and my sister
what i’ll likely end up doing is getting an ITX board and case for the 2400G i have
and then dropping the ryzen 1200 + GTX 950 into my B350 Gaming 3 board in a custom built small ATX case thing
and then we’ll both be set as i have all the other stuff already
other than monitors that is but monitors are cheap for 1080p these days, especially at goodwill Dallas or whatever

Because Kabini.

old amd is shit though
unless its a GPU and then only maybe

besides; i dont need three rigs

You’re confusing Kaveri with Kabini.

Kabini is the 25W dual and quad-core APUs based on K8. They are clock-for-clock faster than Bulldozer, but clocked so low it doesn’t matter.

Also they’re cute as fuck.

Now press down on them :stuck_out_tongue:

Look at the SPEED!

LOOK AT IT GO!

Not sure I get what you mean by this. It’s PGA package, sure, but simply pushing down on it isn’t going to break anything. It would take a lot of direct pressure to crumple the pins.

I don’t want pointless shit hardware lol. Not unless I have a signifcant amount of extra money and its somewhat well priced.

I’m looking to build a reasonably good system for myself and my sister that are both going to be kept well beyond Quakecon. Well one anyway, the other is just randomness that I happen to have that I’m just throwing together for myself to use lol.

In any case if I wanted a shit system to give to some poor SOB I’d just give them a laptop of mine :stuck_out_tongue: Wooooo for Radeon 7570m at best and at worst Intel HD

thin pins that tend to slip on a smooth surface when pressure isn’t applied evenly. shouldn’t take long for one side to bend and then the others will follow.

It’s not shit hardware. It’s specialized hardware.

It specializes in being cute and trying its very best every day. Also it has a stronger IGP than most of Intel’s current mobile parts despite being 4 years old and I fucking love that.

Also it’s basically 28nm K8. Designed by the same brilliant mind behind Ryzen; based Jim “AMD Saviour” Keller.

Ive told you this before but still…
Unless it can be my daily driver, I don’t give a shit about buying* hardware (which usually means its old, or Intel. Lol) . I mean sometimes its interesting to learn about but that’s about as far as my interest generally goes.
There’s a reason why I have a display case and wall of old hardware… I’m never going to use it except on rare occasions or showcase things. Otherwise if its old, and or useless; could care less unless I can buy it and flip it (which I don’t even do that often anymore either lol)

The exception being old keyboards but that’s because unless its some fucked protocol; you can adapt and use most any old keyboard on a modern computer

*edit for clarity reasons
Or maybe not… Meh. I don’t English well at the best of times and I’ve been up for nearly 24hrs again so Wooo
