at this point im not surprised by anything nvidia does.
Wouldnt be surprised if there was a “subsidized” card that costs much less but requires you to pay a monthly fee to unlock its full features. GT 1030 level performance (and maybe cost) but pay $20-$30/month and the card turns into something like a gtx 1070/1080. Thing would sell sooo fast lol. Know alot of people who could justify the monthly cost over paying for it outright
Well everything is turning into a service based model so why not hardware next, you’d be almost renting the GPU at that point. Fairly sure Intel tried todo this in the past or at least they had a patent on it. The idea was they were going to sell the chips with a hardware lock and you’d have to buy a key to get the full performance of the chip. say something like a none K i7 but you’d have to pay the extra to unlock it.
yep. Honestly the most hassle free ( and hacker free ) way todo something like this would to just sell gpus on payment plans. Would only be a matter of time before someone managed to turn a $100 gpu into its full powered $600 variant.
ye is there was any sort of lock won’t be too long before people start hammering at it to see what makes it tick but i could see the business model, Say Nvidia could sell its reference model cards for $25 a month or something with a small upfront cost and you pay it back over a two years period. weren’t there actually some third parties who tried to do something similar but instead you rented the GPUs from them on a plan you they’d just keep upgrading you to knew cards every year?

Finished moving yesterday. Did not get to play Warframe cause it took time to settle. I played it this morning.
Saw alert for proxy war. Saw the first mission gave a good chunk of endo.
Went in with Valkyrie Prime. I had forgotten I had recently forma it. Stated at level 14, ended the mission at level 30.
In the last mission I started with an unranked vaykor hek (thanks forma…) and ended the mission with it maxed out.
Well fuck me. Just had a memory modules die in my laptop

Issue resolved… but my gosh getting it resolved, I went through a chain of 6 levels of support.
What cause this issue:
Comcast dropped support for HBOGO… and they had only given the memo to one department…
To Watch HBO on Demand on Comcast you must use the Comcast app on ROKU. I have the SD package so HBO is now only in SD… Okay I guess I’m buying the Season pass for Westworld Season 3 and the Last season of Game of Thrones cause both deserve to be seen in HD… well at least Westworld.
Westworld is great. I thought Season 2 was great. Soundtrack also good. I plan on buying the soundtrack for Season 2.
Also got a 3 day affinity boost in Warframe… I guess I’m playing the game for next three nights.
