The Lounge 0001 [From the Beginning]

Well this is a fun Tavern Brawl for Hearthstone this week. Just had a guy concede because I pulled off the most meme-worthy combo I can think of.

So the brawl conditions this week are, you play as a rogue who’s deck is made entirely of random spells. Each spell you cast summons a random minion of the same cost. I ended up with

In my opening hand.
On turn 3 I played a 2 cost rogue secret which summoned this as my minion:

My opponent was unable to kill this minion which made my unstable evolution (as well as its repeats) cost 0. I played a 4 cost spell, targeted that minion with unstable evolution, which created a 0 cost minion each time I cast it. So I was racing the clock casting free unstable evolution as much as I could building a full board of insane minions on turn 4. Once they saw what was happening they conceded pretty fast lol. I wish they’dve stuck around, I could’ve finished my quest to damage the enemy hero, and just for the memes.

Completed quest, and am 4-0 in the brawl lol.

So my mother is away and asked me to use her laptop to order her prescription which she does online but once on the site I found out that it lets you a show/hide the password on the login screen and because Chrome saves her password I can just get the site to show me it in plain text with one click of a button and thats it, whats worse is I’m sure she uses it on multiple sites so anyone with access to this machine can just get her password for pretty much everything.

Who the fuck ever thought this was a good idea? :woman_facepalming:

People who are too lazy to use something like Last pass and are also too lazy to remember passwords lol

Yeah I guess we are in an age of lazy security, mean I know why its a thing because apps use this exact system and I’m more or less fine with that in this case because there’s no way to auto populate the field but on browsers when 99% of people will let it save the password fuck no do you implement something like this. :rage:

I don’t know why but this really pisses me off more than it probably should.

I mean. There’s a reason why people make literal businesses out of hacking lol. Its so easy.

tinfoil hat
I mean a lot of people don’t even care about the fact that everything online is recorded and sold to third parties so whats that wrong with just taking the data in the first place…
/tinfoil hat
Lol.

the sad part is that while I’m joking here its also largely true lol

yeah, I’m just annoyed that people will knowingly sacrifice their security and privacy just for the sake of little bit of convenience and heres me with 386-bit unique passwords XD

@ThatBootsGuy we only did some mild sales tax included in accounting but it’s dry and tedious af. I dread to imagine what hell tax season must be for you…

Luckily I don’t deal with much sales tax, I specialize in income tax and don’t touch corporations.

Probably equally dry.

one of the builds for QC works, so that’s good lol

Mmm. 925.

3.8GHz GO

is just on some shit MATX AM3 so unlikely, but can still get like 3.2 probably.

Eh, it’s 760G but it’s AM3+ and based on the 880G board. It should have the power to push a reasonable FSB overclock (240MHz).

260MHz+ if you’re feeling ballsy. I know most of those 880G boards were built to be mid-range options for 890GX, so they aren’t complete trash. I’ve taken a few X6s to 4GHz on 880G boards.

it’s just a M5a78-something (iirc is the USB 3 version)
so, literally a $20 board at best even if new :stuck_out_tongue:

It’s AM3+ and has USB3, it has more value than that. Refer to exhibit A:

(Average selling price further down is $45 for a board, $65 for board + CPU)

Y tho
Its such crap lol, can’t even really handle FX that well.
Side note. For now ill just be throwing my Frankenstein GTS 450 in the rig because reasons.

Because of the reasons I just told you? FX support, USB3. Literally all it needs to be worth money.

AM3 is worthless anymore unless it’s a very specific set of boards. It has no modern features at all. AM3+ has a few modern features, more modern CPUs (even if the performance is not great, the chips have better support) and USB3 is a necessary commodity for any modern PC. It ticks just enough boxes to fall squarely into the “mid-range” category.

You want to feel sick? FX-6300 + GTX 960 gaming PCs sell for $230 all day, every day, and they actually aren’t that terrible of a value when compared to what you can get new.

cpu is a bit under powered for my needs but otherwise doesnt sound too bad

sure they might sell, but it’s not like you can just build one unless you get good deals locally or something because ebay is annoying
still don’t understand why FX series chips are $50-100 but whatever i guess
i personally wouldn’t even consider an FX 83xx unless it was $60 or less but it is what it is lol. like my FX 8300 I’ll probably list for $50 shipped at some point here. because any more than that is not worth for the performance considering all the better, cheaper things. or better, same price things for that matter lol.
