ye imo Nvidia is really screwing the AIB partners with the RTX series of cards because they are already extraordinary expensive even without any of their modifications so they there is little they can do to complete and are really not adding much valve over a 1080 Ti today because RTX is a meme and won’t be ready at least until next generation.

Im going full tinfoil hat here but what if rtx is bad on purpose? What better way to hype your next product by having it compete against something thats only 60% good. Now your gaining a additional 40% that you can add on top of your gain from last generation.

I’m glad somebody picked up on this story and made a video, because it’s been public since before launch.
Not all ASICs are made equal. Just another step forward in locking down the user experience and removing the ability to push the hardware beyond the specified limits. If you want faster hardware you have to cough up the cash, no meaningful overclocking allowed.

Knowing Nvidia I wouldn’t even be surprised if this were true, they can definitely take the hit for one generation and they’ll still sell the cards regardless and might even make a tidy profit just from the price alone of sales to the die hard purchaser. I think Nvidia took the risk of releasing RTX in its current state knowing it might not be well received but just putting it out there sets a president for their future better cards and it will give them a metric of improvement which they clearly won’t have now.

Oh you bought a $1,300+ RTX 2080 Ti? Well too bad, you didn’t cough up that extra $40 so you got a card with a crappy ASIC that isn’t going to offer the same performance as the other cards. Way to skimp out kiddo.
TL;DR nVidia punishes its customer base for even considering saving a buck.

Im also kinda pissed with how much they gimped overclocking with the power limit. Get a few hundred megahertz and hit a power limit even though everything else is not even being maxed out.

What do I mean by successor?: It takes place in the same world but different place, time, and characters.
Should you be worried?: Naw. The creator of the original series is making it so it has the potential to be good. That said… let be brutal Penny Dreadful was and is Gory like very Gory. Ultra Gory. We won’t see this new one till 2020 though. This one being set in the 30s in America is an interesting idea. Wait and see.

hmm so looking at this it is kind of the full game? looks like it isn’t a demo but the first chapter and is 3 hours ish long which is great for being free. I’m really gonna have to get to this.

So it looks like there is an issue with 2080 Tis with an abnormal amount of them dying and artifacting and GamersNexus are looking to borrow some of the dead units todo testing on this. if they do manage to get a hold of the cards should be very interesting to see what they can find out the cause of this.
i may or may not just have dumped 10 hours more into my 30ish hour so far game lol… I’m the red civ rofl…
i have xcom units and the Giant Death Robots when everyone else only has modern era stuff… and then everyone decalred war on me so i took down three civs and then made peace after taking over most of the world lol. only reason i stopped was because my citizens for some reason weren’t very happy xD

… small company joins bigger, but still fairly small in US (somewhat… yes seasonic is basically every good PSU but rebrands, but still)
… I never was that interested in Wooting because i dont like any keyboards that are expensive (more than $120-130) because can build them custom for a lot cheaper and nicer but still neat.
will have to see if anything interesting comes out of the deal lol.
