now that I see it in an actual build/video im still not sure i like the N7
mainly the VRM heatsink is whatās killing it for me, otherwise actually is pretty nice looking
still too expensive though imo
Iām thinking about sending the 4th pair (3rd replacement) of the headphones that are supposed to arrive today back to Amazon. Even if theyāre sealed in plastic and working perfectly (which I canāt confirm after just a short time). Cause the trust is gone and the bitter aftertaste still lingers.
But Iām lazy. And when I think about it, I can still send them back if they develop an issue over time, get a refund and buy them at the local audio store.
I want to call them shady bastards for knowingly selling open box stuff as new without disclosing it, but ultimately I canāt proof that they did it on purpose.
edit: I donāt even need to feel bad about sending them back. the mini-xlr port was already out of the headphones and just hanging onto the wires when I opened the - this time at least sealed in plastic - box.
Fucking hellā¦this is my smartphone all over again. Nothing but trouble. But Iām not going to pay more and get the HD600 (which would probably require a more powerful amp).

kind of similar yup.
This one definitely is moreā¦ hmmā¦ polished? i think thats what I mean. The singing/guitar/rest of the music is very well put together. I.e. the lyrics and the music coordinate quite well, if that makes sense.
Itās why they are one of the only power metal bands I like.

Got my 5th pair of K712 earlier. Guy at the store just shook his head when I told him about the ones I got sent from Amazon. He mentioned a point about used headphones I didnāt even think about, despite mentioning it myself, but he gave it more emphasis: hygiene. Who knows if the guy who got them from Amazon before me had a disease or not?
That said, the store wonāt take used headphones back (like, if you bought them and just donāt like how they sound). They have a whole area for trying out headphones before you buy them (I assume they get cleaned, otherwise that would contradict the whole āwe donāt take them back cause hygieneā thing).
Also good to know: they have a repair shop for stuff thatās out of warranty or the manufacturer wonāt repair.
Theyāre overall a bit more expensive than other shops, though.
But in the future Iāll have to get the HD600 (or 650 or 660S) somewhere else, cause Sennheiser put them in their āconsumer lineā, and the store caters to āprosumersā (instruments, stuff for recording and mixing, even event stuff for stages). And they donāt get a license from Sennheiser to sell the consumer stuff. Weird, but okay.
