Aw yisss
why thanks you we try our best. Discourse runs very well and stable given the hardware we have it running on and I’m very happy with the performance. Was a couple of improvements we made during the last major downtime that may have made it slightly better too and I’ve done some work on the networking side to make it a little more redundant to failures and decrease latency.

woah, it downloaded the image linked automatically.
It is running a 4770k on an ASUS Saberbooth Z97 mark 2 motherboard with 16GBs of memory.
I have setup LACP on the server on both NICs to provide a redundant link to the router so if one Ethernet capble or NIC fails the server should still have a direct path to the router. I want to improve it further in the future by providing another link that bypasses the switch entirely too but that is for another time and on the latency side I have setup some traffic shaping rules on the router to prioritize traffic to and from the server.
yep @Dje4321 set that up. the server will automatically download any picture you post to it so we have a record if the original source goes down for whatever reason.
If there’s a sudden influx of level1 loungers, blame @adubs
