Lol I think I figured out a lot of why the S6 and on went the way it did, IRL dexter/Debra got married and subsequently divorced during that time… Explains quite a bit. That and writing people out so they could do different shows.
And people thought the 9590 was bad
… X599 (or whatever is going to be called that Intel is making) needs dual PSUs rofl
AMD shows 8 core part that performs as good as a 9900k with less power… Intel: hold my beer
As if they learned nothing from X299.
What PSU do you know of that has 4 8pin cpu connectors XD
fuck hangovers…
dual PSUs lol
2 8pins per
Technically my PSU supports 4 8pin cpu connectors if I had enough modular cables for it. i’d be fucked with the extra 24pin though XD
but was it this bad lol
ive done ^ like twice
Thats why you pickup where you left off
Like everyone else.
What PSU has 2x 24pin?
And what consumer board needs that kind of power?
Choice for cases is limited too.
I’d go with a 4u server chassis because you’d get enough space for the massive mainboard, ample room for additional cooling if needed, duel power supply support with the option of having a redundant one but the x599 platform is just a rebranded server CPU anyway so it makes the most sense.
Better wait until someone comes up with a VRM watercooling block. But water and server wouldn’t sit well with me.
I mean Linus does it and has a one in his server room that watercooled but it is on the very bottom of the rack for obvious reasons XD
Also there are actually data centers that do have watercooled servers and it does work really well. they sink the heat to massive radiators outside of the building.
Linus also has a SSD-only server with multiple (I think 2) RAIDs set up (that almost died and took nearly a bunch of projects with it that weren’t backed up).
Watercooling just ain’t maintenance friendly. Especially with hardtubes.
I’m guessing data centers have more practical solutions in case a system fails. Like, quick disconnects and replace the whole unit with a new one.
That and the servers themselves are only used for compute and storage is separate so its trivial just to swap out a failed unit for a new one and point it to the storage targets of the failed one.
Ramblings of wolfleben:
Car needed like $500 work done on it… ah ok. I had money for it but still hurts.
I got Assassin’s Creed Odyssey.
4 hours into the game the title for the game comes up… I legit laughed when I saw it. Why did it take four hours? I’m easily distracted. I like to go exploring. This game is set around Greek and Roman history… and I’m a huge fan of the classic epics from both. In fact I’ve read most of them. I haven’t played the Assassin Creed series since like Revelations or 2.75 as I called it. Game is fairly solid. I honestly have no idea when I’ll finish the game. I’m taking it slow.
I’ll be finish my 2nd play through of Dragon Age Inquisition either this weekend or the next 2 weekends. Then I can move on to my 14th playthrough of the Mass Effect Trilogy.
Also I did set my conditions for what it would take for me to write for DC comics. I doubt they’d meet them but if they ever did, I do have just one comic arc I’d write for them and then I’d walk away. Technically I started writing it. No I won’t tell you what it is or who it is about.
Speaking of writing, you may wonder why I haven’t given an update on my writing on a daily basis. Two reasons: I realized it was repetitive. Just know I am writing on a daily basis even if I don’t say I am. Writing is apart of me and always will be. Typing up Project Space will task time and I’ve had a lot of things interfere with that but I am working on that as well.
I got a G203 mouse for work. Word to the wise never buy a $5 mouse for work… mine went rogue with the scroll wheel. Anyway much better mouse for work has been gotten.
End rambling
How does the game play of the newer dragon age games compare to the game play of origins? I loved Dragon Age: Origin on the PC. Mainly because of the extremely solid game play, but it my understanding that newer ones did away with a lot of the game play elements that made Origins so good.
The gameplay has sadly been dumbed down.
Worse you all share the same health potions in Inquisition.
Also worse you can only use one weapon style in Inquisition.
You do get the tactic camera back in Inquisition. To be effective in the higher difficulty you have to control ever party members attack.
Inquisition didn’t properly fit the armor for all the races and you will notice it. You need to mod the game cause there was a war table that has a timer and it is terrible. Mod makes that timer go away. You also have to have a power amount to entire certain areas.
A really bad thing is in starting areas there are high level areas in them which was a really bad idea.
Inquisition is also only worth it if you have all the story DLC cause the last DLC affects the entire Dragon Age Lore.
I don’t remember how Dragon Age II downed things down but the story was pretty good. You do revisit places alot but I think the story was better paced than Inquisition. You only can play as a human though.
Origins felt like a true successor to Neverwinter Nights. It was and is complex what you can do with the AI in Tactics.
As of right now we are getting another Dragon Age game but weather Bioware survives long enough to make it or what the game will be like remains to be seen.
