youd probably have a similar reaction to the motherboard being used for this XOC run lol

Oh boy itā€™s a good thing heā€™s using an unlocked chip otherwise say goodbye to your RAM and boot partition. Also hey I have the better version of that board, and the 2GB variants of that RAM. Neat.

Though X5470s OC better than the QX9650 in general, probably would have been in the ~500CB range at 4.4GHz instead of at 4.6GHz though tweaking FSB actually helps with Yorkfield and heā€™s probably not doing much of that.

naturally must be very hard for someone so young having to deal with what sounds like a very traumatic situation whatever it is. a kid possibly missing the best years of there life really hits me and for what its worth and not knowing anything i hope at least things donā€™t turn out so bad for them or gets better with time.

Kindle battery life is nuts. These things are magically I swear. It might take me longer to test mine than I thought.

The magic of epaper displays. takes 0 energy to keep whats on the screen there and almost nothing to change it

I still buy paper books for somethings. Iā€™m very selective about it though cause I do have a small two bookcases [3 shelves] collection. I just ordered three recently. Theyā€™ll be here this week. I post pictures once I have them cause they are kinda neat editions and happen to be by one of my favorite writers of all time.

Collecting things and spaceā€¦those usually donā€™t go well together. Especially if you wonā€™t want to put them in boxes to store under your bed or on cupboards.
The shelf I built for my manga collection is already almost 3/4 filled (the remaining 1/4 being comics)ā€¦and I only started collecting them a year ago.

Do people build them out of wood too in places like this? No brick walls?

not really up to much, just about to make myself something to eat as I havenā€™t had much else today, kinda feel like making bacon and egg sandwich if we have the stuff for it.

Houses

They do have brick houses, but wood is far more common for a couple reasons.

  1. Itā€™s cheaper.
  2. Wood is flexible so it isnā€™t susceptible to the same freezing/melting cycle of internal water as less flexible materials like brick. This also benefits in the ground freeze/thaw as the house will naturally settle a bit, if one side settles too much youā€™re dealing with an uneven house rather than one that has been split.
