That is the most pissed off I’ve been as the result of reading something ever…

if somebody messed with my server and took it apart because “I was selfie having two PCs” I’d tell him the fuck right off too and pay me for damages they caused to the hardware. worse part is I sympathize with them having to tell everyone the servers gonna be offline because of dumb fucks messed with it :rage:

I wouldn’t… dead people can’t pay or listen…

Wow it feels like the 90s again when nVidia’s best cards had crappy DACs and alpha-blending problems that lead to washed out and blurry textures.

They also can’t pay for the stuff they broke (unless you’re somehow in their will and get away with murder).

I wonder what this years Computex will bring?

From AMD I’m sure we’ll see more of Zen 2 and possibly performance of their 12/16 core on the desktop and the first showing of Navi graphics and maybe some new notebooks.

Intel I’m not so sure about, maybe their multi-chip (guled-together) MCP cpus such as the 48-core they announced, for sure a bunch more thin and light ultrabooks and maybe more about the folding laptop device thing they showed last year, a better place to hide their water-chiller.

Nvidia is a mystery to me as I don’t believe they have anything in the pipe yet, possibly going to be quite a lot of max-q laptops from many manufactures, some AI and deep learning stuff, maybe an update on BFGs/more G-Sync compatible monitors.

Corsair are going to RGB more things and a new lineup of peripherals, fans, memory etc, possibly also expanding on their pc building service thing and show some new models. new streaming stuff from Egato?

that’s all I got on predictions for now.

Personally I want it to be 2020 for tech because then we’ll get to see what Intel has for a GPU. I’m really curious what they come up with and what it can do.

Wattman is pure shit. It constantly overwrites my fan setting in MSI Afterburner. Constantly tells me there’s a new update when I’m already on the latest “stable” version (not the optional one). It’s so fucking annoying.

Never really had any issues with Wattman whenever I’ve used it but I’ve heard it never plays nicely with other OC software. iirc though doesn’t wattman also have fan control, any reason to use afterburner over that?

It has. Can set your own fan curve.

Some time ago for some reason the GPU clock would randomly be locked at 600MHz (I think). Was way easier to reset with Afterburner than with Wattman.

Also, Afterburner lets me set the fanspeed to a constant value or use a default/custom fan curve.

Wattman decides to randomly ignore that and on top of that reset its own values.

finally built the GK64 fully… adding a case to a keyboard really does change the noise (and to a small amount the keyfeel) of a keyboard. nice.

otherwise, been playing moar rocksmith… playing guitar a lot is painful on the fingers but meh? getting better so is fine.
also HI hows everyone doing?

I’m modding a standalone mod. Kinda tricky but I’ll get it to work.

Opened the controller I dropped to see if I could fix it and found the answer to be no. I managed to cave in the PCB braking some traces in the process when I dropped it.
