The Lounge 0001 [From the Beginning]

But isn’t the shelf life of asic miners usually around 3 months tops and by that time the difficulty has already risen to a point that it isn’t profitable anymore?

Not these things lol. Probably will still be good for another year because of how high the has rate is. And at this price I can mine as long as its profitable and then sell it when its not and still make a profit just on the sale. Let alone the mining between that time

Its where im thinking the miners are getting the supply from besides just calling up board vendors and ordering them directly

Are you sure you want to deal with the noise and heat though things produce. I could put that thing anywhere in my house and i’d still hear it :stuck_out_tongue:

Still would be cool if you could make a profit using it.

At 500 a month (thats after taking out the 1100 watts it eats. Still makes $500 a month lol) would only be 3 months
Or could resell and buy more lol. Either way.

Because this is the going price on eBay atm

that would be neat. for me though asics are too risky, they are only good at one thing and when the difficulty gets too high your left with a paperweight. would rather put the money into GPUs so I can switch coins and still mine plus it’ll be easier to resell them to gamers or something.

Not true. Looking at that one I’d say you get at least 2 small fans out of it.

Did Ryan burn Logan in the Q&A video?

Sort of maybe? I don’t think its really directed at him but its good advice to follow regardless.

“…slapping your brand on Chinese garbage cause you think people will buy it cause it has your brand on it”
Kinda sounds like a jab against that emulator thing and the Fenec stuff Logan is selling.

It does but a lot of people are doing that and I generally think its just his stance on the matter. They would rather have a quality product that is more expensive but they have a lot of some input in. the KVM switch for that matter is only a thing because Wendell needed a product like that and there wasn’t one on the market already.
