So, I returned the BT XBO controller and my cousin gave my old one back to me. I’m done with Bluetooth dongles. They just piss me off. The ones that were supposed to arrive today - guess what - did not arrive today. The delivery guy delivered and the BT dongles that said “Delivery today until 8pm” were still somewhere in Germany and haven’t moved. And tbh, I really wasn’t in the mood for BT roulette. Will one of them work? Will both work? Or none? Guess we’ll find out Not. Today. Cause I cancelled the order. I’m done with BT dongles.
My cousin wasn’t mad about it. In fact he was the one who offered to give my old controller back if the BT doesn’t work out. I still felt back (and still do, kinda) but I gave him my old wired X360 controller. He - for some reason - seems to prefer those.
So now I’m back to my old XBO controller. I think the extension cable has some dirty contacts or something but the wireless adapter itself works fine.
Might get a new one of those 2.4G wireless controllers next month though and so my cousin can have mine after all.
Oh, and the (cheaper) 8BitDo SF30 Pro and the hard shell case came too. Those are nice.
And now that I have a controller for 3D games again and 2 really nice controllers for 2D games…I’m not in the mood for playing any games anymore. What the fuck is wrong with me?

Mine doesn’t work that well. Has a Realtek chip onboard. But it seems the thick case + all that metal from the massive CPU cooler are blocking the signal too much. Can’t get a proper connection with any device (phone, tablet, controllers).
When I tried to see if the wifi antenna would improve the signal I noticed that one of the antenna ports is a bit loose. It seems to be screwed down with one of those thin nuts but I can’t get to it cause the IO shield is in the way and I can’t remove it (downside of having it directly installed on the mobo…the IO shield, that is).
didnt try the antenna anyways just carefully? 
Oh, I did. No improvement. But maybe the loose one just doesn’t make enough contact or something.

Nah, it does, but the signal is too weak.
Looks like this (this is from the VIII, not the VII that I have). The upper one on mine is a bit loose. Do you see the other hex nut inside the shield? That’s what seems to be not tightened properly but can’t get to it with any tools.

Lol nah. It’s just the fucking wifi antenny thingy that I don’t use anyway. Ethernet > Wifi, period.
