The day I can install flawless wide-screen patches on games running through proton is the day I’ll switch to Linux on my main desktop.

I’ve pretty much all but given up gaming on my ultrawide monitor at this point. it isn’t worth the hassle for most games when I can just use my second 16:9 display 
I like my untrawide too much to give up on it.

Now what would be the perfect monitor is a untrawide based on the 16:10 aspect ratio.
not get me wrong, I love my ultrawide monitor and its great for productivity just not worth it when the support isn’t there. I still use it for gaming but only tabbed in i3 with say my web browser next to it instead of fullscreen.

I’ve had good luck with most games on it and I can usually find a patch that fixes an issue if one arises

I had pretty good luck with it too on Windows but since I moved to gaming almost excursively on Linux, like you said the support just isn’t there.

It’s the sad truth. Worst part is that is literally the only reason why I still use windows (other than no spellcheck in discord on Linux). All the software I use day to day is available on both platforms these days.

24:10 and 32:10? There’s just a dozen different models out. Acer, Asus, Dell, Philips, HP, etc. The cheapest one is ~800€, though.

probs look at it again eventually but gotta just be done for nao :X. already ripped up multiple traces/had to repair and shit,
and now its either… a wire or multiple maybe, is broken in the middle(could be only had shitty solid core copper) or trace or something got lifted slightly etc
cant look at it currently have to start desoldering shit to get to lower levels
was all goo til that last turn of the screws/less than 1mm deflection on the case lol
