Wooo tax returns came in and finally able to finish off the travel expenses from getting from tx to wi to Cali, lol.
And doing much better now besides that. Work is boring so been internetting all day.

Got my new glasses today.
Overall theyāre good. But right now Iām at the phase where I have to try really hard not to nitpick extremely small details so I donāt count things that are just due to not being used to a new pair of glasses and not because thereās really something wrong with them.
But I look more serious and older with them. And more boring. Like a loner book nerd who only reads obscure scifi or something like that.

But the adjustable nose pads areā¦well, adjustable. And replaceable. And the plastic ones are closer to the eyes. I donāt like that. Always touch my eyebrows and cheek.
ye but they break when you adjust them and have less surface area making them less comfortable
Could just know some people that have them lol, itās how I got mine. And they are semi legal now so.

Oh, I donāt adjust anything myself. I let an optician do that and if they break something theyāll fix/replace it. Had that happen before where I just went there because a screw got loose and one of the lenses fell out. The optician fixed it but said the frame (part between the lenses above the nose) was bent a bit and when he tried to bend it back it snapped. Got it fixed for free and they offered free contact lenses until I got the glasses back (which I refused cause they donāt stay on my eyes and fall out when I blink).
My optician is only 2 bus stops away (or 5min walking), so itās not a hassle to go there when I need something done on my glasses.

Hey, Iām not taking any chances with a 390ā¬ pair of glasses. My last pair lasted for over 9 years and I intend my new ones to last as long too.

had mine for few years but havent had problems since dont do metal ones anymores :x. had couple have issues with screws holding lenses in and stuff, have backup pairs though so doesnt matter that much, since prescription didnt change very much have like 4 pairs i could use

This is the first time I got a spare pair. Kinda weird.
But the difference between regular lenses and extra thin lenses is insane. Well worth paying extra for it.

I have a bad feeling about these glasses. After just one day of just wearing them - didnāt even clean them or take them off since I left the optician - there are 2 scratches on the right lens. No idea how they got there and I only noticed them in front of a dark background (the opticianās place is almost all white with bright fluorescent light). So I canāt even say if they were already on there when I got them. But it sucks big time. Gonna head back there first thing Monday morning and see what they say about it and what they can do. Hopefully free of charge. But scratches after not even one full day and no cleaning (the optician cleaned them when he adjusted the temples) is not good at all.
