Sleep cycle is still fucked. Just woke up at ~ 5:30pm.
Gotta fix that cause next Wednesday our new fridge is supposed to be delivered. Old one has a warped/deformed/dried out door gasket and to replace that you basically need a new door, which isnāt being made anymore. So lots of ice building up when you donāt close the door with your whole body weight and a ton of petroleum jelly on the gasket to somewhat seal. No proper seal = cold air escaping/warm air getting in = fridge is running non-stop, which isnāt ideal for a 18yo fridge. So we decided to just replace the whole fridge.
Thatās basically the most exciting thing that happened this week, although Iād rather have my old fridge working perfectly forever (cause money and I donāt like researching home appliances at allā¦fuck that).

Did you fiddle with it to use more cores than itās supposed to or is the game just stupid? Doesnāt make sense. Older games rarely used more than 1-4 cores and the additional cores didnāt bother them. Sounds like bad programming.
Yeah, nah. Those are usually a bit more expensive anyway and itās useless IoT shit. Why would I want an app on my phone for the fridge?
I donāt even want a display on the fridge door. Some have it on the outside rather then the top bezel where you see what temps are in the different compartments and set some shit like turbo cool/freeze for when you need to cool/freeze a ton of new stuff fast. If the controls/display is in the door it means thereās just another point of failure cause there has to be a cable that runs from the fridgeās body over the hinges to the door. āOh, itās broken, guess I need a whole new door.ā Nah, screw that.
guessing something random/dumb, like didnt put in a override/the right number for max number of threads and it tries to read memory it cant or something/walks off an array w.e.
most of their games have a main schedule/sync thread, and then bunch of worker threads it dispatches tasks to, and can do upto the max number of threads on system for those other threads
guessing would be like 5min fix, just change how it allocates memory/the threads spawn, or just set a max(since doesnt need more than like 2~4 anyways) just run lower utilization per core when it uses more basically
like where it goes to see how many cores you got just have it go if(cores>17){ cores=16;}or whatever
guessing is cause deep silver are dongs so no one can fix the game now lel, since the actual devs dont own the game/dont work with them anymore and deep silver wont do anything themselves
guessing is just a change a few numbers on the arrays/set the max different and hit compile and its done

only thing you can be sure about with Factorio is your factory isnāt as efficient as it could be and time is just a diminishing factor.
