its slightly bugged for some reason. Have to attempt to install it, wait for it to fail, cd into ~/.local/share/betterdiscordctl/asar and run npm install myself. Rerun the installer and it should succeed

hmm when I try and run betterdiscordctl on my discord path it says it can’t find the installation.

you have to specify a location for it to search in. so if you install it to ~/Programs/Discord then you need to run betterdiscordctl install -s ~/Programs/
