I don’t see how any of this is even related. I agree we shouldn’t bring up the drama but we were talking about the L1 forums and its moderation and how it is today which has nothing todo with the drama or what happened? While some people here don’t care L1 others do and I don’t see what is wrong talking about it.
because it’s still inter forum politics (also drama but not really… more just commenting on it but still more or less counts)
i personally really don’t care about the other forum, and all the shitstorm happening there other than to point and laugh. And I also think it’s a massive turn off of the discussion here. Along with the fact that there’s a strict no politics rule.
if you have an issue with the L1 mods, or staff, TELL THEM there. Talking about it here does literally nothing one way or the other.

I accept this, not everything we talk about here will be a discussion everyone will likes and will join in. We all have different opinions and thats fine. We are in the lounge to relax and talk more or less freely as long as it doesn’t break any of the rules
I disagree, we were merely talking about the state of another forum and I don’t see how that counts as politics.
I know you’d like nothing more than to see the place crash and burn and I accept your option but I disagree but I’ll leave it at that and talk no more about it.

Yeah I’ve always been clear on when I close a necro thread or shut one down. The threads I shut down I’d talk with the mods and leaders first. Aremis I’m convinced just hates me cause I personally closed two necros he did and shut one down for violating the no politics. He has openly attacked me twice and tried to bait me on several attempts. I honestly don’t care if people hate me for what I do as a leader. The majority don’t and many have thanked me in pm. I took on Dredd avatar there as a way of thumbing my nose at the haters. I’ll enforce the rules I can as leader and flag the ones that need mods to act. I do what I do cause I care about helping making the forums better. If all I cared about was just the rules, I would never have spent two months working on the Linux distro guide.

That’s not the point i was making. I don’t care but I have gotten complaints about it being the only thing we talk about here and it being problematic.
Also the fact that I classified it as “politics” not because you are talking about another forum, but the way it was being done.
for an example
among others from other times i could dig up but i don’t remember exactly where they were and it’s been a few days.
If you were just saying “hey look a thing” it’s fine
but “hey look a thing that’s like a police state and other bad things”
doesn’t fly as a general rule just out of decency unless it’s a joke and even then… maybe maybe not.
The one exception being 4chan and related “chans”, lol
