freesync is amazing. Even better is that you save money when getting a freesync monitor
You are very precise about everything lol
tell my wallet that 215 still aināt cheap, but compared to and equivalent g-snyc monitor oh ya.
well yeah, my brothers gsync monitor cost like 4x the price of my current one XD
you save $100+ on freesync compared to gsync. can put that money to a better GPU
Old habit comes from time specializing as an audio engineer in college when I had to know beyond normal seconds for the purpose of editing sound.
Also if I were to describe myself to someone I would say imagine Sherlock [The one from Elementary] combined with The Doctor [Matt Smith one] combined with Castiel combined with House combined with Hawkeye [M* A * S* H] combined with Judge Anderson and you have a rough idea as to the type of person I am.
Not these days the only reason why I can use freesync now is becasue @Cavemanthe0ne sold me a 390 for 240 well under the 350+ theyāre going for now
Actually i just checked Newegg the cheapest 2560x1080 g-sync monitor is $800 i saved $600 by going freesync, thank you AMD.
just watched
and holy crap itās an interesting movie.
definitely worth a watch if you can. also tag of @wolfleben because itās about the person who wrote the Catcher in the Rye if itās not already apparent from the name lol
Side tidbit: I think Catcher in the Rye is pretentious and overrated. When I had to read in high school, my hand written report was 12 pages long on why the book was just okay at best. My teacher legit told me : How dare you say this. Me: But itās true. I still got an A on the paper.
I still like the book though. Iāll look into this film.
for me i read the book once
ā¦
yeah. not that itās bad but at that point i was reading like a book a week so unless it was memorable i donāt really remember which books i read for example i went through every book in the Enderās Game series in a few months. lol. those are good.
but this movie is really well done, i went into it like āthis seems interestingā and after finishing it:
lol. did the same. Be wanted to reread them again
Enderās Shadow Series is also very good.
By the way this is my current build/setup if anyone wants to take a look
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Wqv7YT
i donāt remember if i read those
i definitely read the first book and i remember it being⦠meh? but i am not sure if i read the ones after or not.
that said i had also just discovered Harry Turtledove books which are really interesting alternate history books (assuming you know what actually took place in the given time periods IRL, that is lol)
my favorite series from him is probably this one:
All Iāve read lately is some light novels, textbooks, and some of the always wonderful Terry Pratchett
Discworld is love. Discworld is life.
I agree wholeheartedly
If you are looking for a space series to read. You could give the Honorverse a try.
The first book is free on Amazon in digital form:

My review of it from January 12, 2016
I was looking for a military sci-fi book to read. This was recommended to me by a friend. Honor is an interesting character. A minor grip I have is that somethings the story slows down when something cans explain in great detail like how a technology came about. Whenever it happened, I always wondered why? Then when it comes back to the story I realize why. This story does have solid moments. There is good character development, the stakes are very real, and I was satisfied with how it ended. Iām planning on reading the next book. Not sure if I will keep reading the series but that will be determined on if I enjoy the next book or not.
Iāve read the next three books.
@wolfleben which books/sub-seires do you most enjoy, me personal Iāve enjoyed the books with Moist von Lipwig or Tiffany Aching the most of the ones iāve read.
