because of how past and present tense works
if you posted it when i had the 9000th post and said it’s over 9000 because of english being derpy it can either be seen as “incorrect” because it was at 9000 so saying it’s over 9000 is wrong, or because you posted it and said it’s over 9000 (being the 9001 post) its right
pointlessly knowing english for no good reason at all lol
