meanwhile I have 24" 4k lol
Awesome gaming. The rest is meh
Also I hope its not the price it is elsewhere because $1100 is a lot for a 27" monitor lol.
Considering my 24" 4k was $270
letās see how much big storage 2.5" SSDs are going forā¦they shouldāve come down a bitā¦right?
(note: cheapest price, not lowest price per GB)
I think I stick with spinning rust for nowā¦
512 gb ones arenāt bad at all now. And 1tb ssds can some times be good prices. But high capacity ones are still stupid expensive.
Think about it in terms of replacing 12TB of spinning rust.
Also meaning 8x SSDs total, cause only 8x SATA ports.
With the MX500 being the cheapest 2TB SSD -> 2700ā¬ total.
The 1tb MX300 is $260 so would be a bit less but yep still $2100 min and thats 8tb
meanwhile I have ā¦ Lets seeā¦ Like 2 tbs of SSDs and a further 14 or so tbs in HDDs
And Iām really only usingā¦ Maybe 4 tbs total? Mostly is stream recordings at 1080P60 too because at 4.5 to 5.5 mb/s they eat hdd space lol
Thereās a few SSDs that have good gb/$ but not many. Considering most people get a fairly large SSD and then a bigass hdd(s) for everything else it makes sense.
is the dick waving necessary?
@TheDiddilyHorror
get a few of these and your problems are solved. gets around 100MB/s
https://www.amazon.com/Seagate-IronWolf-7200RPM-3-5-Inch-ST8000NE0004/dp/B01M1BUBSO/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1520123099&sr=8-4&keywords=seagate%2Bironwolf%2Bpro&th=1
Probably not but I also forgot to make it a joke so mehhh
Also I think diddily has more storage than me anyway so ?
And those SSDs really arenāt useful minus the 800gb one so
it just sounded like dick waving is all
lol. i have a 1TB drive in my laptop and a 1TB raid 0 NAS made out of drives from around 2002-2005 lol
If I was more critical about what anime I keep after watching (for re-watching), then there would be more space left.
Aaaand cleaned it up a bit. About 1TB less now overall.
Theyāve apparently changed butā¦Iām still extremely biased when it comes to Seagate.
Seagate and literally every single manufacturer minus a couple good ones made horrible 3tb hdds for about a year.
I never buy 3tb drives now lol.
Wasnāt just Seagate.
A lot of people dick on Seagate but actually some of my oldest drives that are still working are Seagates, even the 80GB drive in my router that is around 10+ years old and still working fine.
