the forum will download content from the web to try and keep it local. If it cant either because its too big or it cant embed then it will prevent it from showing.

yep thats always the issue with stuff like this, is why Iād mostly think of a dumb media device more than anything else but they did say itāll have an offline mode in later versions so maybe with a tiny bit of storage can cache your music library and things you need offline.

Yeah, Iām demoing it for now, might move over to RockStor, but Iāve had stability issues with it in the past.
Ideally, Iād like to combine the feature set and stability of Unraid with the BTRFS functionality of RockStor.
Oh, also, Iāll be posting pictures in a short while. Had to clean it out with a ventilator and air compressor. This thing was bad. 3 years of plaster dust, lint and other shit inside. Iām shocked this thing hasnāt overheated.

A light dusting of plaster is really what keeps the HGST 4TB NAS drives alive.

Respirator, air compressor, dust brush and 20 minutes later, weāve got something thatās not perfect, but a whole lot better.
Back in the lair, weāre installing two new 8TB WD Redās, courtesy of the 8TB EasyStore enclosures. (got em for $120 a piece, a steal!) You can see the edges of the red label on the bottom two pictures.
Now to install UnRAID and see how she does.

Is that input latency or color response time? Because the TV we have probably sits at 100-150ms for input latency.
Anyway, Iām less worried about that now. Dragged my Trinitron out from under my desk. I think Iāve gone a little insane butā¦ 85Hz masterrace. Now I just need to dig out that DVI-VGA adapter from wherever it isā¦
Iāve got one more 8TB drive to put in, but itās currently being used to clone laptop hard drives. Once thatās done, iāll be throwing it in.
NZXT Source 210. I bought it because it was a $40 case with 8 drive bays that was not some flimsy piece of shit.

Thatās the same reason I got it, but on my unit the usb ports were installed upside down and they caused my pc to hard lock if i plugged anything into them. Also I have 3 cats and a dog so no dust filters was really inconvenient.

Well, mine is a server, so I wouldnāt know. I donāt have the ports connected to the motherboard.
I can understand that. Thatās why my new system is in a meshify C.
Iām already mad with unraid. That was short.
@Zoey, I think you mentioned using RockStor, do you want to weigh in? Iām trying to just run a few docker containers on top of an array and more or less have it automagic once itās set up. I was doing this in arch, but I felt like I was spending hours a week maintaining it.
