The Lounge 0001 [From the Beginning]

I need some help here. I’m thinking about rearranging my room if I do I’d be able to use my midi keyboard, but my desk would be in a slightly inconvenient spot and I’d lose the space for one monitor, so I’d have my ultrawide and one peripheral monitor, instead of two. Thoughts?

thats basically what I did last week.

That’s what I have. I’d personally do that. Having a creative outlet like music is very important so losing out on 1 monitor, at least for me, is a very small price to pay.

This is exactly my setup, I used to have three monitors with my ultrawide in the middle but I got rid of one and have my ultrawide and other monitor directly in front of me now at a slight angle.

would you not be able to run one monitor ontop of another one?

that’s the direction i’m leaning, it’s going to mean my desk space will be divided in two, one table on one wall and the other table on the opposite wall. If my room was a foot wider I wouldn’t has this issue.

@Michael I would do that but the monitors aren’t all the same physical height or vertical res so the second monitor has to be at an angle otherwise it’s uncomfortable to use.

@Dje4321 I don’t have an after market monitor stand and i don’t want to buy one for a 1600x900 17" monitor I got for free.

would be worth it. Could always use it with this monitor and upgrade the monitor later. monitor arms for 1 monitor are not that expensive

I have no plans on getting another monitor anytime soon so it’s no worth the investment for me. Plus I’ve had a set up with a top monitor before and I ending up disconnecting it because I didn’t use it there. I prefer side monitors because I can still see them in my peripheral vision I can’t with a top monitor.

well, new job starts tomorrow, is there a word for nervous and optimistic at the same time?
