Direct X gets Ray Tracingā¦
Me: Neat. Ray Tracing. Alright. Direct x 12 You got two version one for console, one for pc. Okay Let me dive into something after the break of the line, it is kinda of rambling:
On Direct X 12 [DX 12] and Vulkan Implementation:
While weāve seen a couple of prominent games for DX 12 and Vulkan [Though it seems Bethesda is Fully on Board and going to implement it in all their games after DOOM]. One thing you may be wondering is why havenāt we seen a flood of games feature DX 12 and Vulkan.
Is it cause the APIs are terrible?
No. While there are two versions of DX 12 the APIs for either one are not terrible. Vulkan no the API is solid.
What is the problem?
Short answer Devs.
Wait what?
You see not all Developers arenāt fully trained and working at the bare metal level with graphic cards on PC. They need to be trained. And guess what training requires? Time. Which if anytime not spent making the game is spent on training, in a publishers eyes this cost them money.
The sources I have only a few of them work for publishers that have allow for the time to train. However most of them are sticking with DX11 at the moment.
End rambling.
Fuck the Blackhawks!
Lol.
Because you baited me to do it.
You were going to say that regardless I just tagged you first
But anyway cool to see AMD working with the NHL.
No, I would have just skipped passed it, the only reason why I saw it was because you tagged me in it
Me: ⦠Neat. Hmm⦠Maybe I could mod some of them a bit and repurpose them. Iāll look into it.
I hope this doesnāt lead to a bunch of people making vaporware with the assets.
One hopes.
Direct X 12 Raytracing Demo by Remedy:
I have a feeling Iām going to get a couple emails from Epic the next couple of days.
Edit: accidentally linked to my watch later which is set to private. fixed the link to just go to the video.
Iām glad noclip exist. Learning the story behind Warframe the making of it is interesting so far:
Separate note on Warframe related to what I think about it now that Iāve played it a bit more:
Honestly I like it. It is my chill game. The game I play to relax. The community/randoms have so far been great to play with.
I did spend money to buy platinum to get Mesa. Iām currently working on getting Mesa to max level. Mag was my first warframe. I havenāt gotten too deep in the story just yet cause of leveling Mesa at the moment.
Writing stuff:
Poll for Spoiler Dialogue First click on the spoiler and only vote if you click on the spoiler [SERVE WARNING. NOT VAGUE.]:
Situation: Chloe is trying to convince Sam to move. Where they are is only a few miles away from an enemy that just killed Samās Spotter and Parents. Iām thinking of having Chloe say āWe should mourn somewhere else.ā So poll is do you think this is sympathetic enough to convince Sam to move or should she say more/something else

It depends on the context. How important were the characters to sam and how do they feel about it? What is their personality? Are they emotional at this point in the story or are they apathetic? If they are emotional and care about the characters they should be reluctant to go but depending on the situation and how important the new place to them they should be willing to go.
Good points. Gives me stuff to think about.
Iāll have a solution by tomorrow.
Ive learned alot about story writing from watch game of thrones. It made me take everything into consideration about the situation, characters, politics, etc
It is a good book series to study. Pacing in the series of books is very well done.
It is. RR Martin did a very good writing the books and deserves all of the awards he has gotten
If your looking for another series to study like that The Kingkiller Chronicles is also really good. Really easy to understand magic system.
Name of the Wind is 1st one.
There are 3 books so far
Books 1, 2, Spinoff. Fans and me are waiting for the final 3rd one.
