Why not tease them first? Let the busty, big-assed barmaid seduce them and when she drops those melons they go BOOM! Play mindtricks on them so they shiver with every step they take, shriek when they see a little bird, destroy their trust, give them paranoia and deep existential fear. Show them what true terror is.

I’ve read some. Not really my thing. I still have all the rules and nuances memorized. I ran open sandbox campaigns. Players were allowed to grow or die. I always rolled my dice in front of the players. Every player got a chance to shine or fail. It was fun and amazing.
