Okay now to focus on the written portion for my debian video. I’ll resume adding shows and moves I watched later.

No idea what made them think they could get away with rebooting a beloved classic movie and change important stuff (like genderbending the main cast).

Even with better actors it would have been shit either way. The plot was more around the actors than actual ghostbusting.

well you’d think a movie about ghost busting would actually have some ghost busting in it. Really most reboot kinda turn out like this.

Movie companies are seeing :moneybag: around the actors not the IP itself. What we need is a classic movie reboot with a new set of actors instead of your generic actor pool that gets reused for everything.

Meh…not sure if that will help much.

yep my biggest problem with reboots now is they just get the biggest actors in and the interaction between them kinda feels staged and forced as if the actors are not comfortable in their roll and are sorta going against each other.

Having the same set of 20 actors do every movie is not helping

has tom cruise play what in IRL (was)is a 300+ lb man

Well thats the easy approach why spend time and money looking for talent that actually fit the roll when you can get big name XX and plaster it all over the marketing material.

But neither will using a famous title.
High expectations, a harsh audience. Maybe the pressure is too much for a director and fairly unknown actors (not Abrams, he’ll drag anything into the dirt with ease).
In the worst case it’ll be a turd and the actors and the director will be seen as piggybacking on a wellknown movie title to get some easy fame. And the usual “they’re rebooting it cause they can’t come up with good new stuff”.

Oh for fucks sake. I see @Michael isn’t the only talented person that I know for cooking lol…
My dad threw this on the stove and… It was green before today

This is why you never leave something alone on the stove lmao.

Also yes. Entire kitchen was steamy. I’m lucky I came down when I did.
Now I’m upset because I was going to enjoy the green lentil and ham soup but noooo
