In the meantime dealing with the guy I sold the x79+3970x combo to.
I sold him it for $250 and he had the nerve to bother me about how apparently 4 of the 8 ram slots don’t work… Nearly 2 weeks after he got the thing.

Yes, that’s technically not as described etc but I said it was used for extreme OC sessions among other things and listed it for $100 basically for the board because of that. Which is still way better than eBay and other places.
Not to mention I included shipping in the price which was $30. So basically $220 for 3970x and a good motherboard (even if only half the ram slots don’t work… There’s still 4 ram slots…)

Will probably just refund him the $100 because of rather do that then be out of $250 so yeah.

Vaguely annoyed. If he would’ve said something like… When he got it it would be fine. But noooo

In happier news my 390X is still stable, and its also a nice heater lol

May have to sell it which would be annoying but oh well

But I do quite like it. Extended gaming session (3 hours straight) got it to a max load of 80 C which is about normal for the card it would seem. Never went above that though.

Not bad for an MSI card.

Oh I remember why I cant sleep. My sleep routine normally is to sleep at 2amish and its now midnight
Though the anxiety/whatever from above certainly doesnt help matters lol
In any case I’m going to be up until around then now anyway so meh fuck it
