The Lounge 0001 [From the Beginning]

It’s worse in MMOs though. “kill X amount of these things”, “gather X amount of those”. And it gets even worse in end content where stuff is time gated (events you have to do only take place at certain times or special items can only be crafted once per day). Or you have to queue for a dungeon/raid to get a quest item but a lot of people just rush through the dungeons and ignore requests. This will be a pain in the ass in the next expansion when nobody does the old content anymore so you can’t even find enough people to do a dungeon or raid. So you’re pressed to power through the current content, often ignoring the story stuff. And without the story it’s just chores.

They might as well be notes fixed to a post, no NPCs needed.
“go there, do this, then go there and do that, etc.”

But my video card only has 4… and mobo has none…
And it still shows the speakers, headphones, microphone, and spdif.

Quite strange behavior. To be expected when you don’t update for 2 years though.

I’ll continue working on it after I go buy some beer because someone happened to drink all that I had… looks around to see he’s the only one here

How did you manage to keep Windows from updating for 2 whole years?

Have it set to ask to download, then just keep ignoring it lol.

I’ve still never gotten a blue screen… just graphical crashes it seems like (hence the display driver update which I have actually kept up with).

On Win10?

nah I’m on 8.1

No surprise I can’t find that option on Win10.

There are utilities to stop Win10 from calling home for updates, leaving it up to the user to manually install any update packages. ShutUp10 is the one I use.

RIP me…
Updated everything and still crashed. Now it’s in boot loop even after refresh…

RIP perhaps a symptom of not updating so long caused the update to fail? looks like it might have to be a reinstall :frowning:

Now its hanging where it would go to lock screen…

thats the thing about windows. it hates massive updates

Now hoping a reinstall solves it…

I hope it’s not hardware…

And I’m pretty certain it’s hardware… most likely the drive is dead. Gives me an excuse to upgrade to ssd though… but rip everything some idiot forgot to back anything up ever… what a dumbass

Giving me CPU hardware error

what kind of error?

something about the socket, one said something about microcode, other said something about cpu itself. Idk for sure since it just kept looping. Running big screen of laptop atm so I can still watch anime… just no games for me :disappointed:

I’ll be able to tell you what it is tomorrow. Too late and too frustrated to bother with it anymore tonight.

My PC did that too last year. In the end I had to get the CPU and mobo replaced (replacing only one didn’t fix it for me and I still have the issue that the mobo resets the BIOS settings 90% of the times I boot).
If your mobo has a 2nd BIOS you could try that, maybe it’s just a shot BIOS.
