It’s worse in MMOs though. “kill X amount of these things”, “gather X amount of those”. And it gets even worse in end content where stuff is time gated (events you have to do only take place at certain times or special items can only be crafted once per day). Or you have to queue for a dungeon/raid to get a quest item but a lot of people just rush through the dungeons and ignore requests. This will be a pain in the ass in the next expansion when nobody does the old content anymore so you can’t even find enough people to do a dungeon or raid. So you’re pressed to power through the current content, often ignoring the story stuff. And without the story it’s just chores.
They might as well be notes fixed to a post, no NPCs needed.
“go there, do this, then go there and do that, etc.”
There are utilities to stop Win10 from calling home for updates, leaving it up to the user to manually install any update packages. ShutUp10 is the one I use.
And I’m pretty certain it’s hardware… most likely the drive is dead. Gives me an excuse to upgrade to ssd though… but rip everything some idiot forgot to back anything up ever… what a dumbass
something about the socket, one said something about microcode, other said something about cpu itself. Idk for sure since it just kept looping. Running big screen of laptop atm so I can still watch anime… just no games for me
My PC did that too last year. In the end I had to get the CPU and mobo replaced (replacing only one didn’t fix it for me and I still have the issue that the mobo resets the BIOS settings 90% of the times I boot).
If your mobo has a 2nd BIOS you could try that, maybe it’s just a shot BIOS.
