nope… just the 270x.
Perhaps Fouquin could spare one?
I have to rule out the psu first though…

Yeah if you need a card for testing I’ve got plenty that will work for that. Stacks and stacks of low-end cards that just aren’t good for much else.
Looks like I’m grabbing dad’s multimeter tomorrow.
Will be the deciding factor if I need a new gpu or psu. Hopefully it’s psu… much cheaper fix…
I’ve been sleeping since about this post lol so
well welcome back then
a bit late but…
So the long talked about state of storytelling in video games video isn’t going to happen. The reason for this is I’m not going to do videos anymore except when I have an update on my writing.
That said after the line is a ext of what is coming based off my sources and observations:
While I am primarily a pc gamer I do keep track of what the console makers are doing. Sony isn’t abandoning Storytelling with their games. In fact the games they make they want to stories to be a reason to buy their system. The new God of War was huge shift from the previous ones. I legit hated the original games cause I thought the storytelling was poor and mediocre. The new one story has been pretty good from what I played [I rented it.].
Microsoft doesn’t appear to be interested in storytelling at all. From what I’ve been told and seen they only care about making the game good enough to sell to people. Which means the stories for their games are likely going to be mediocre and will fail the ten year test [While I play it in ten years].
Nintendo does enjoy making games with unique and interesting stories for various groups. It will keep doing so. The open world Zelda was a huge gamble and Nintendo themselves weren’t sure they could pull it off along with telling a good story for it. They did succeed. This doesn’t mean future Zelda games will be open world though.
EA doesn’t care about storytelling. They only care about how much money a game can make. Have you noticed how dodgy Bioware is being about the story of Atheme [Don’t about spelling it right.]. That is giant signal to me that the story won’t be that good. The game also won’t have any romance which has been a staple of Bioware since NEVERWINTER NIGHTS. I don’t trust EA with storytelling and no one should.
Ubisoft is being very strange. They have their open world games nailed down to a science, it did take them a bit to get their. However the story for the games they make has been good enough to keep you playing. With the Assassin Creed game series the fact the next one has roleplaying in it adds a potential layer of storytelling for the series which if handle well could be good. It does seem that Ubisoft wants to do storytelling and they are in the process of figuring out how they want to do that. It is kinda like they are becoming a very big Bioware except one that cares to try to tell a good story.
Take-Two. Take-Two is a publisher a lot of people don’t think about. However I do. This company owns Rockstar, 2k, and other studios. From what I’ve seen and known, the company is just like EA. They care about if the game makes money. Rockstar did care about storytelling. However after GTA Online I’m not so sure. Borderlands 3 I honestly don’t know if the story will be any good after the poor empty shell Battleborn which has no real story to it. TLDR - I don’t trust Take-Two with storytelling.
Activision Blizzard don’t care about storytelling. The story for Overwatch is paperthin and it isn’t in the game so it doesn’t even matter to it. Destiny 2 story is meh. Call of Duty is going to be multiplayer only from now on if my sources are right.
CD Projekt is committed to telling stories with games. Cyberpunk 2077 is going to be in First Person/Third Person for cut scenes. This is a smart move. First person can make the story more personal. We won’t play the game for at least a couple of years nut I’m looking forward to playing the story.
I love Remedy. According to my sources and my own observations Microsoft interfered a lot with Quantum Break. Even with the interference, the story for Quantum Break is interesting to play through and I’m looking forward to replaying it. Their next game Control is being published by 505 games. From what I know 505 won’t interfere with Remedy and haven’t. What do I mean by haven’t? Well Control is coming out next year in 2019. Which for a Remedy game to be revealed and come out the next year has never happened. It has always been 2 or 3 years later. Remedy appear to be staying true their storytelling with Control and from what I know this one may not have any live action video like Quantum Break, time will tell on that one.
Bethesda. Lets be honest the Fallout and Elder Scrolls they have made never had deep stories. It will stay that way. However Arkane, Id, and Machine Games are committed to telling good stories. I’d actually like for Arkane to make an Elder Scrolls Dark Brotherhood game cause I think they could pull it off and we’d get a good Elder Scrolls with a good story. Single Player isn’t going away for Bethesda. Fallout 76 is an experiment for them and that won’t have storytelling in it from what I’ve heard.
Video games can have interesting and unique stories. Some companies are committed to it and others only care about profit. Storytelling won’t disappear from gaming.
Hmm. No wonder why in the current season there’s so much hinting at oliver getting sent to prison lol
I don’t know how I would have liked that.
While I somewhat like the tv show, its basically just Batman but slightly not lol.
Would be nice to see the robin hood/MacGyver/Batman(ish) mix that are in the comics but oh well.
In any case is somewhat interesting.
I have found it ironic with Oliver he blames himself for everything even when it isn’t his fault. Whereas Barry’s problems are always ones he makes for himself.
I did like the current season of Arrow more than Flash.
I’m just annoyed the arrow isnt the charismatic robin hood type lol.
The flash I can handle a few episodes of but that’s about it. And then I don’t watch it for months unless there’s a godawful split episodes thing. Speaking of the last one had the first episode on Supergirl… Which netflix hasnt added yet. But all the other shows are on the latest season. So still missing the beginning of the World X mini series. Speaking of, that was actually really good but WHY IS IT SPLIT EPISODES FFFFFUUUUU
Lol.
I dont see the point in the dc tv shows. They seem like your standard run of the mill tv show with superheros
Actually Supergirl Season 3 is on Netflix now.
Yeah they should just combine them into a standalone cohesive whole.
The arrow… Started off really good for The first season but yeah
The flash… Well.
Legends of tomorrow is baad. Or at least it started so bad I couldn’t stomach getting through them to get to the supposedly good later seasons lol
going live with an hour or two of Quake with BJ Blazkowicz for Murica Day (before i go do things lol) so twitch.tv/caveman12342
Also it isn’t dark at 5AM in the northern hemisphere on July 4th.
You are just the killer of jokes lol
No I’m just bitter that, despite the blinds being down, it was bright as fuck in my apartment at 4:45AM.
Blackout curtains, nailing the windows shut with boards,…
Don’t complain until you tried everything
edit: or just a sleeping mask
I just sleep through most any level of brightness at this point so… Yeah. That said it took a lot of annoyingness to be able to so there’s also that
