switched back to my AEK II keyboard and forgot how much of a profile the thing has even compared to my ibm model F lol. its still as awesome for typing as ever though.
otherwise worked on the volvo some, cleaned it more and treated the leather with some magic that made all the leather squishy and… also slippery? which is odd but makes sense, makes it tougher to rip the leather by normal use.
also getting a friend here started on PCMR today so thats fun

Got the South Park Seasons boxes delivered today. Too bad the BluRays aren’t available here but I already have the boxes with S1-5/6-10 on DVD and the DVDs are cheaper anyway. I’ll see how the video quality compares when I get to S13 (I think that’s the one where they switched to HD and I think it’s 1080i on the DVDs, there’s not much info about this to be found). The BluRays of S1 to something are remastered to fit 16:9 but that’s not worth it to me to spend a) time (cause they’re not out here yet) and b) money on something I already have (on DVD, but still).
The Mysterion figure is nice. Was big and cheap but doesn’t look like crap. Only bummer is that the matching figure of The Coon is much more expensive (not paying 70€+, although I could get it in the The Fractured but Whole Coll. Ed. but that’s Ubisoft and they use Denuvo…and uPlay, so that’s a no from me, dog).
Now I gotta rip 10 seasons (16 discs, 124 episodes), name them properly and then transcode them. Yay!
Update: Damnit! I’m already starting to lose track of which episodes I transcoded cause that dipshit who put the discs together thought it was a good idea to split episodes into chunks. Oh, here’s the first 3min14sec of episode 3 and there’s the rest in a different file. That x4-6 (depending on disc). Now I’m ripping the whole episode block that has chapter marks for each episode and just transcode each chapter(episode). But that’s not consistent. They started doing that thing on disc 2 of season 12. Why? I don’t get it.
Gonna rip the rest of season 13 and then take a break to transcode what I got so far so I don’t lose track even more.

Core 2 extreme, 8gb ram, 560 ti and a Corsair AX750 in an old style case. That and a mechanical keyboard for $100.
The PSU and keyboard were most of the price lol.

Not yet. Been letting it run full blast while i sleep. Been slowly able to bring the house up to temp. Im either missing gas pressure or this thermostatic valve sucks ass. Will be full blast for the beginning but after a while it starts to dwindle out

Yeah. They have The Fractured but Whole Coll. Ed. with a Coon figure and the game + Stick of Truth on Amazon here too but a) it’s Ubisoft, b) it requires uPlay, c) it uses the Denuvo DRM and d) they’re the cut versions. Even on Steam they’re cut.
Not gonna pay 60-70€ just for a figure. Anime figure maybe. Someday. But not for one that has slightly more details than a Funko Pop figure.

Got the first box ripped (S11-15 of South Park). Only S15E09 - The Last of the Meheecans made problems cause I couldn’t rip it. Shows up in VLC when I play the DVD (and can be watched) and it shows up in Handbrake but the rip/transcode is broken (artifacts everywhere). But it doesn’t show up in MakeMKV. Weird. Well, it’s one episode and not part of a whole story line. As long as this is the only one out of 124 episodes it’s fine.
Also already transcoded S11-14. Not bad for only 1 day. Ripping takes the longest. Put the disc in, let it load in MakeMKV, select episodes (or try to guess what’s an episode and what isn’t), let MakeMKV rip them. Swap disc, repeat. With Handbrake I can just put all the episodes in the queue and let it do its thing.
Gonna make myself some sandwiches for lunch/dinner today. Something that’s at least a bit more healthy (with lettuce and tomatoes and shit). But you can’t really buy cooked, sliced turkey meat here. Only pork and beef sausage at the deli section. Closest thing is “smoked turkey breast” but it’s just some processed chicken meat or something pressed into shape. Gonna see what my options are when I go out to get groceries. Also out of mayo. Gotta have mayo on a sandwich (not really a fan of mustard on sandwiches).
Got rid of the annoying ads on the Kindle 10, was a $15 charge because ofc it was lol. I may root the thing but for now it’s decent… Just annoyed that because amazon and Google keep fighting there’s minimal Google apps. Though can use the web versions of sites well enough so… Meh?

by all accounts because of all the ads and limited app support Amazon Kindles are terrible devices unless rooted. even just installing Open GApps they are actually pretty decent for being a cheap tablet and 100% more usable with access to the actual Android ecosystem.
