damn. the fucker shilled out XD
yep he “had to get the best intel chip for gaming”
100% guarantee that he would be able to tell the difference between a 6700k and his 8700k
I agree, probably also wouldn’t see much between his 4770k and the 8700k but hey, I was just happy I got to steal his 4770k and ram out of it XD
That is one of the dumbest upgrades
yep want to know what tipped him todo the upgrade? its the dumbest thing ever. his old motherboard doesn’t have fan control built into the bios and the ASUS software got fucked because of a Windows 10 update so he literally raged, said fucked it and bought the 8700k, he’s got the money to burn though so whatever I guess.
There’s a ton of free fan control software out there. But if you’re lazy and itching to burn cash he made the right choice, so his old PC is what the forums is on I take it.
As I told him at the time but he said he didn’t want to deal with it and he’s impatient and impulsive and yeah forum is running on on my old motherboard with his 4770k and ram.
Well that 4770k is now doing the lord’s work.
Y he no go Ryzen?? That’s a platform that will stick around for more than half a generation and the difference in gaming is marginal at best.
I refer you to the above post
it’s not working i don’t care
Trust me I shilled that shit like there was no tomorrow but he just wouldn’t listen.
upgrading would also be easier because he wouldnt have to buy a whole new system everytime he wanted to upgrade his cpu
I wish I could have even remotely decent specs… they were pretty shitty when I build the thing 3 years ago and now they’re just depressing (well except ram amount… that’s fine).
what do you have? You can make almost any game run on anything with enough elbow greese
I charge them for my time, stops that business
fx 6300, 270x, 8GB ram @ 1600mhz.
It runs games no problem (mostly because I have a 32" 1080p tv as my monitor says it runs at 59.9 or whatever the standard is Hz).
One thing this system has taught me is most people grossly overestimate their needs.
