yep I usually don’t mind too much because most of the time its trivial stuff like “wifi isn’t working” for whatever dumb reason but sometimes everything goes to shit at once.
Sounds pretty much the same as what I deal with and probably everyone else.
lol. i wouldnt have helped. Would have told him to figure it out.
Did he build the pc himself?
yep everything revolves around the internet
Or perhaps more accurately everything revolves around the internet when it’s not working.
yeah I probably really should be more hands off with him but can’t help it and he mostly built it himself but I installed the CPU for him.
i cant fault you for that. those LGA sockets can be fairly fragile
yep he was really scared he’d break the socket and had the CPU hovering over it for ages trying todo it until I finally just took it from him and put it in.
yep. What cpu does he have?
its an 8700K
damn. the fucker shilled out XD
yep he “had to get the best intel chip for gaming”
100% guarantee that he would be able to tell the difference between a 6700k and his 8700k
I agree, probably also wouldn’t see much between his 4770k and the 8700k but hey, I was just happy I got to steal his 4770k and ram out of it XD
That is one of the dumbest upgrades
yep want to know what tipped him todo the upgrade? its the dumbest thing ever. his old motherboard doesn’t have fan control built into the bios and the ASUS software got fucked because of a Windows 10 update so he literally raged, said fucked it and bought the 8700k, he’s got the money to burn though so whatever I guess.
There’s a ton of free fan control software out there. But if you’re lazy and itching to burn cash he made the right choice, so his old PC is what the forums is on I take it.
As I told him at the time but he said he didn’t want to deal with it and he’s impatient and impulsive and yeah forum is running on on my old motherboard with his 4770k and ram.
