Y he no go Ryzen?? That’s a platform that will stick around for more than half a generation and the difference in gaming is marginal at best.

upgrading would also be easier because he wouldnt have to buy a whole new system everytime he wanted to upgrade his cpu

I wish I could have even remotely decent specs… they were pretty shitty when I build the thing 3 years ago and now they’re just depressing (well except ram amount… that’s fine).

what do you have? You can make almost any game run on anything with enough elbow greese

I charge them for my time, stops that business

fx 6300, 270x, 8GB ram @ 1600mhz.

It runs games no problem (mostly because I have a 32" 1080p tv as my monitor says it runs at 59.9 or whatever the standard is Hz).

One thing this system has taught me is most people grossly overestimate their needs.

I’m home from work. I had originally planned to work 12 hours today but my body was saying nope. So I told those above me in the morning normal 9 hours for today and tomorrow.

Why is that blocked. Cause it’s from discord Ye Old Lounge. I just posted it. Too tired to come up with a way to reword that for here.

Plans for today:
Work on writing Sam’s Wasteland Within.
Playing with Debian.

lol yep. back around 2014-2015 my main PC was a 2.6Ghz pentium 4 with hyperthreading, geforce 2 mx100 and 1.75 GB of ram

Do you have the CPU OCed? I have a FX-8320E OCed to 4.5Ghz and it games fine even on games that use only 2-4 cores.

That’s even worse then my PC from that time, I had some ATI HD shit GPU with 512MB vram with a Q6600 OCed to 4Ghz at 1.45V 24/7 for a year, i basically shot both the cpu and the mobo can’t get any OC on that system now, but it was fun while it lasted.

lol. this GPU has a massive 32MB of vram XD. couldnt OC the processor. Ram was too expensive for me.

Thing ran Half-life like a fucking champ though along with other source engine games like CS 1.6. Played a fair bit of postal 2 on it too

so the game that ran best was three years older than the GPU

the card was released 2 years after half life came out XD
