The Lounge 0001 [From the Beginning]

8-10 hours usually. But, discounts on food and beer, etc. And I know what I’m doing now and all that lol. Besides this place seems like they actually care about everyone who works there which is nice.

Oh also have 14-16 hours between shifts (if you work more than one day) which is awesome
Well. At least compared to my last job lol which was shitty.

The biggest comeback has to to be Twin Peaks, though. S2 aired in 1991. Then they made Fire walk with me in 1992 for the fans. And last year they aired S3 - 26 years after S2.
Still haven’t watched it but the response from the fanbase seems to be good.

RANT: Cleaning cast iron is a bitch

ye i can’t remember exactly but isn’t cleaning it normally with soap and water a very bad idea because it can degrade?

ye. Was almost no seasoning on it so spent a fair while removing what was there and its currently heating up in the oven

You don’t clean cast iron lol. And if you are in the unfortunate circumstance of having to because of gross stuff in it, you clean it but NEVER use dish soap. I dont remember exactly what to do but I do know after cleaning it you have to season it in the oven for 3+ hours with oil in the pan.

If your pan needs re-seasoning (ours does) then you remove the old seasoning, heat to 500+F in the oven for an hour, Wipe on a very thin layer of oil and heat for 10 minutes. Take it back out. wipe off any oil buildup and repeat for the next 30-40 minutes

You clean with salt and a wet rag. The salt will act as an abrasive to scrub the harder bits off, the rag will wipe anything else. As for seasoning, you both seem to be way overdoing it… I seasoned both my pans at 400F for an hour with regular vegetable oil and the seasoning hasn’t deteriorated in the last 7-8 months I’ve been using them. As long as you aren’t cooking acidic foods in your pans you’ll be fine.

Is just how i was taught to re season it. Will come out fine either way

Project Space Writing Report:
Chapter 5 is progressing well. I’ll be writing the intense close fight after I finish eating dinner and catching up on local news.
End report.

Spent the last 4 hours sorting through parts to make a single fully functional Dell Precision M4600. Ended up with a decent build too, i7-2720QM from a dead Latitude, Quadro K1000M from a bag of untested GPUs, and 12GB DDR3 surprisingly all the same speed. Wish the Quadro 2000M it was originally equipped with had worked, but the K1000M isn’t terrible.

Sounds nice, you love those BLTs don’t you. I could really do with some food right now though but sadly its too late early to cook and have to wait a couple of more hours before I can make anything.

yeah i rarely sometimes get it where my mother and sister are away and my brother is still here which add some flexibility but its still not the same. ye noticing that by the end of the week everything is tidy and clean and when they come back its a complete mess again within 5 minutes?

pretty much. Doing a deep clean myself and never touching it again. Its on them to maintain it as its mostly their mess

Only time this places gets a proper clean is when there away because its just too much to keep up with as I pretty much have to clean up all their mess on a daily basis otherwise it would never get done which is why I love it so much when they are not here.
