Its 9:23AM and I havenāt been to sleep so Iām more than a little buzzed, currently preparing everything for when I need to take my router offline to fix it before anyone else wakes up and then maybe sleep.

Taking the forum offline soon to do some maintenance, hopefully shouldnāt be down for more than an hour.
Everything is back up and working again, this took way longer than expected as it kept reinstalling my backup into the same broken state but i eventually managed to fix it. Now I understand why people on reddit were so mad about this bug, Netgate really fucked this up. Now hopefully i can get some sleep.

Chapter 5 is done. Will be starting Chapter 6 tomorrow. 6 is in a way a turning point. There is also the reality just cause things do improve for the character there is still the personal fallout sheāll have to deal with.

Well. My sisterās done some ā¦ To be honest, dumb shit recently and well. Lets just say been dealing with family has been a thing lately. But I have a new job so not going to worry too much about it but still is annoying when said sister now is no longer on speaking terms with most it the family. Oh well.
In happier news. Got some beer (posted in relevant lounge) and whatnot and enjoying my job so yeah.
Probably will try some of the new tobacco I got as well at some point. And then not sure. Been watching a lot of Supernatural lately lolā¦ I see why you were Castiel for a while @wolfleben as human castiel is quite amusingly awkward and whatnot.

8.5 out of 10 done with ripping and encoding the Twin Peaks Blu Rays. Only 8.5 cause a) I let a huge bunch running in Handbrake overnight but 2 files of the last disc were still not done (so I removed the last one - the movie - from the queue) and b) disc 7 was not accessible via MakeMKV, so I had to request a replacement from Amazon (arriving today). Stuff like that is annoying but fortunately itās only one disc as compared to theā¦I donāt remember how many individual episodes from the X-Files box set.
Seems as this can occur sometimes and not even putting the key in the .cfg file fixes it (others Iāve found online had it happen with other discs from the same box set).
Update: Disc 7 of the replacement also spits out errors. Trying to make a backup of the disc with MakeMKV and the use that instead of the disc.
Update 2: Cancelled the backup and tried something else (as the backup wouldāve taken over 1h, so I wanted to try other things before it ends up a failed attempt after 1h).
So I tried AnyDVD but thatās so unintuitive that I got frustrated (it wouldāve probably ripped the complete disc, not just the titles that I need).
After discontinuing that I remembered how I used to rip my movies before MakeMKV: just using Handbrake. It scanned the titles just fine and added them to the source title list. Threw the titles I need into the queue and am now encoding straight from the disc rather than - how I usually do it - from the files created with MakeMKV. Hopefully this works.
Update 3: File1 (aka Ep.1 of 4 on that disc) was a success. Plays and has all audio tracks and subtitles. If I tried it that way then I probably wouldnāt have needed a replacement.
Update 4: It worked! No idea why MakeMKV was doing the derp when Handbrake did it without a hassle.

This was a very interesting talk, basically there modifying physical server boxes in datacenters so there impossible to open without them knowing about it and in an event of this happening a board epoxied into server will either send a shutdown command locking all the disks or in extreame cases send a singal that sets off a termite charge inside them. These servers are ran by lavabit so this is part of there stragety to ensure the integrity of there servers in remote locations.

I think this is the fastest Iāve ever ripped and encoded a tv show. Got it on Tuesday, on the movie is left for encoding. Then renaming the files with proper names.
