I mean some insurances cover accidental damage, could just say you broke it in a way it was not meant to be used but you didn’t mean to break it so they should cover it XD
With everything becoming more and more expensive its nice knowing that if i drop my friends phone and it breaks that im not out $1200+

ye most phone carriers here will even completely cover them for cracked screens and everything, all you’d have to pay is a £50 and they’ll cover the rest and do the repair. is much better than having to pay £500+ to get it replaced with a new one.
Phone carriers around me dont really do that. They do more shady things like making you end your contract early and trading in the dead phone for credit towards a new one
what really? thats terrible and they get away wit that? what happened to carriers trying there best to keep their customers happy? You can get away with a lot with them because they’d bend over backwards to keep you on your contract.

Its mostly the smaller more local ones. The bigger ones will often offer to renew the contract and give you a new one on payment.

ah it being the smaller ones make sense but its still shady as fuck. So you have to renew the contract for either a higher fee or longer period cancellation period? doesn’t sound so bad but still they should offer to fix it for a fraction of the cost if its something minor like a cracked screen.

You renew your contract and add on another phone payment + the one thats broken that your still paying off
what so your pretty much paying two full phone contracts for one phone? Is the new contract deducted from the cost of the phone your paying off or are you essentially paying double for service too?
Only one service but 2 phone bills. Most people break them near the end though

ah that isn’t nearly as bad, honestly though if I broke my phone near end of contract I’d probably just get a cheap one and wait it out, you’d probably get a better deal that way and the option to change providers if you wanted to.

I may have accidentally stumbled upon one of the rarest cards I’ve ever owned.

So basically as with any graphics generation the next gen was already in the works. So this is a Radeon HD 2950 Pro, or what would become the Radeon HD 3850. This card was already built and being tested before the 2900 XT had launched to the public, and it’s pretty clear from the looks of the scribbled info on the shroud that this was considered internally as the direct answer to everything wrong with R600 (2900 series) which it kinda was. Lower power, lower thermals, higher clocks, better memory, but the same poor core configuration.
Anyway it’s just another HD 3850 256MB performance wise, but just by the date it was made and the firmware it has it’s something a lot cooler.
I’ll post the rest of my haul from the recycler in the new purchase thread.
Edit: Also now properly represented in the GPU Database

@Fouquin Know of a reliable source to get max size main battery for my elitebook 8760w? main one is getting pretty bad. Can barely get 45m of battery out of it now.

Nope. I don’t generally track down batteries for laptops that I sell, either it has one or it doesn’t.
