True. Problem with be an expert puzzle solver is finding a hard puzzle.
I havenât but should play those at some point soon, have been meaning to play Mel for a little while but never actually got around to it yet.
My hardest problem is not finding a hard puzzle but one that manages to be hard without relying on some kind of glitch or obscure trick
Part 2, 2nd Edition

Project Space Writing Report :
Chapter 8 is still going well. I didnât realize how much details I had to cover. So this chapter unexpectedly turned into one of the longer chapters.
End report.
Interesting what goes into designing and manufacturing RFID tags and how they work on a fundamental level. I love the lengths heâll go to hack something and really explore an idea.
Hey do you like Fallout New Vegas⌠Do you want a 6 GB new story and location prequel mod⌠well have I got a mod for you:
Looks very interesting, may have to check it out the next time I feel like playing New Vegas.
Iâm installing it now⌠well downloading it first. Actually Iâll need to pause that. Friday hype.
Different news:
Iâm very curious. Wait and see.
Dad found a slug barrel for my shotgun laying around so that saves me a fair bit of money. Also was good to take a few shots with it since I havenât fired that gun in⌠7+ years
Canât really put my finger on it but something about ISP-initiated hardware swaps rub me the wrong way.
Got a letter yesterday saying that weâll get a new modem/router. Despite my common sense (waiting until next week) Iâll be going to the store to exchange our old modem today. Otherwise theyâll send it in the mail and as soon as itâs been delivered the old one gets deactivated. Next week would be better cause tomorrowsâs a holiday and stores are closed which means if it doesnât work Iâd have to wait (in the worst case) at least until Saturday to go to the store (if the new one is DOA, ya never know).
Older people will be overwhelmed by this procedure (unplugging the old one, finding all the cables, sending it back to the ISP and plugging in the new one).
Also, our ISP has been bought by T-Mobile. Not sure how to feel about thatâŚ
Update: went better than expected. Even though I took my time on my way home, as soon as I plugged the modem in I had internet access (lady at the store told me 30-60min after plugging it in it should work). Wifi disabled and passwords changed.
But I overheard one of the guys there telling a customer that since T-Mobile is buying/bought our ISP, the plans will change too some time in the near future. If they fuck up and make people pay more for less or ignore existing customers by giving better deals to new ones, then itâs time to haggle again
I hate swapping out ISP provided hardware because it always has a chance of breaking things I have no control over which scares me a lot. Right now there doing IPv6 trials on the newer hardware which people have said doesnât support being able to use their own equipment since they are not going full duel-stack and even if it did it their implementation isnât supported by my router anyway and Iâd loose NAT on my own static IPv4 address and one day could just decide to turn it all off on me if I did switch hardware. There also rumors that they might be increasing prices sometime in the future by up to 40% which would suck, not entirely sure how true that is but if they do I may we have todo some shopping around.
The one good thing about ISP provided hardware is they canât blame your stuff for problems.
yep if its their own hardware that is broken they can fix their own shit, they are always quick to blame your equipment whenever anything goes wrong even if you can prove it isnât causing the issue. Last time they even said I needed to pay for a business connection if I wanted anymore support from them and wasnât using their provided hardware XD
Basic networking knowledge should be required to use your own modem/router combo. Not only for troubleshooting but also to have proof that itâs not your gear thatâs at fault.
I tend to agree but that really goes hand in hand, most people are just happy to use the ISP provided gear but if you make the effort to use your own hardware then it stands the reason you know what your doing.
That is true for everything though.
Using something and knowing how it works arenât necessary two things that go together these days. Especially electronics. With the whole âbuy instead of repairâ mentality most people donât care about how something works in order to be able to (at least attempt) to repair it. And companies take advantage of that.
Alan Wake News it is back on steam:
Microsoft renegotiated the music rights. Yes they actually did a good thing here.
I wonder why they felt the need to do that. Itâs a kinda old game now. Wasnât a big seller either. So why bother?
