I appreciate that.
When there’s some issue with my PC (or basically anything at all) my brain goes blank and doesn’t remember the most basic stuff that’s important and can cause inconveniences in case something needs to be changed.

At least my eye-hand-coordination is getting used to the slight change in key spacing.

The nightlight mode in solus/budgie is dope af. Manages to reduce the blue without effecting colors a super large amount. Is really neat

neat i wonder if this feature made it into to the copr repo I’m using for budgie on my laptop, I’ll have to see and check it out.

is under displays for some reason in settings

ye found it. its pretty cool and very subtle compared to some I’ve used. Also found that there’s an applet for it and you can change the colour temperature on the fly which is neat.

Woot. Now time to test these strange “tactile” things.

hmmm, odd switches. are almost exactly the same keyfeel as my Apple M0110A (which has vintage linears which are only kindof linear, still have a bit of tactile bump but only kindof). but are a bit lighter in weight which is nice.
not bad. i don’t know if i’ve use them as a daily but pretty decent for a modern tactile anyway (most modern tactiles are bad, lol).

FUCK YEAH!
I can send my mobo back to Amazon for a refund and buy a new one.
Now…which one to buy? Probably getting a X470 instead of a X370.
The Aorus Gaming 7 looks good and Buildzoid (GN) wasn’t annoyed by it.
Given the experiences with my current one I’M a bit biased against Gigabyte, though.

CSGO now has a Battle Royal mode and is 100% Free to Play.

The battle royal mode is interesting and very fast paced compared to something like Fortnite with more focus on offense. I got a weapons within 5 seconds and so did everyone else it seemed but its early days.

RIP my laptop speakers

Shouldn’t have blasted Despacito 24/7 on 100% volume.

Got any cheap speakers to use? Or headphones?

period.

There’s also battle Royale… In … World of Warships. And World of tanks (kind of) for some reason lol

How the fuck does that work?

WoT one was/is rather dumb.

WoWs not entirely sure they just did an announcement on it… Is part of the Halloween/end of the year special. Uses special ships and stuff from above event and is 8 players iirc… Haven’t tried it yet.

But in WoT you have same tanks to start and pick up ammo, health packs, tank upgrades and so on. While fighting everyone.

Kinda narrowed my choice of mobo down to the Asrock X470 Taichi (non-Ultimate).
No need for 10Gb Ethernet on the Ultimate, so no need for paying 75€ more just for that (and 2 buttons on the mobo) is unnecessary. Other than that people say they’re the same.
While Asus is supposed to have the best BIOS, 55€ more for just that seems a bit much.
Gigabyte…solid board but no need for the BCLK stuff and Gigabyte BIOS again? Don’t think so.

I used Asrock before and the BIOS was extremely meh (also due to the fact that it was just H87).
Hopefully they improved since then. Buildzoid criticized it (for the X370 Taichi) but was okay with it on the X299 and didn’t have any insight on the X470, so…no idea.
Want to avoid it but I have the option of sending it back and getting the Asus if it really is crap (although, the consensus seems to be that Gigabyte has the worst BIOS of all of them).

I’ve also been told that my small OC does less than if I got 3200MHz RAM. Mine works and should work on the other boards too. Maybe next year? idk, not sure how much of a performance boost I can expect over my 2400MHz (and if I really need it).

ASRock has practically the same UEFI as ASUS. They are both ASUSTek brands, they get the same tools to build boards.
