Yup lol. Recording 4k lossles gaming… Well my 1600X at 4ghz was at 100% use and was only getting the audio and every 4th frame lol…
I may try 4k at the “near-lossless” setting though which is significantly less intensive (and YT will make both lossles and near lossless look the same anyway so meh)
Either way will still make gargantuan files though especially if it is at 60 FPS
Lossless is hard at any res lol… I just kindof want to see if it works on the 1800X. And near lossless is fine so.
I could probably also play with OBS settings to make it both awesome quality and manageable CPU intensity but not entirely sure how to yet so. Will see on that one.
That, like SLI/Xfire scaling, isn’t going anywhere anytime soon for much the same reasons kek
(Aka game devs not implementing fixes/optimization for it because of too few people using it. Not unlike linux… Or a lot of things. Which is annoying. )
Huh…weird. For a few seconds just now I thought this pair of headphones broke too. Suddenly didn’t have any sound on the right side. But it looks like the cable that came with it was the culprit. Still weird. Just worked fine a few minutes ago before I went for a smoke.
Well, happened again with a different cable.
This suuuuucks…
Suspecting the DAC…
Yup, seems to be the DAC. Tried different cables and plugged the headphones into my phone.
Either there’s some dirt on a contact in the DAC or…something else is wonky. Sound on the right side cuts out and then when I’m deliberately play something that has sound on the right side (virtual barber shop and sound test in the playback device settings) it starts again.
Works fine, doesn’t work, works fine, etc.
Almost like someone’s fucking with me.
Really looks like there just was some dirt on a connector inside. At least I hope it’s that. Easier to deal with than with some other component.
And I’m really really really sick of sending stuff back to Amazon. Why can’t my stuff just work without issues?
Aaaand I’m not sure again what causes it. Worked fine for 15-20min, then the sound on the right side went out again. Checked the plug on the cable, nothing. Unplugged the cable from my headphones and plugged it back in -> works again.
Wonky contacts in the headphones then?
So playing all the Dark Souls was meant to prepare me for Hellblade Senua’s Sacrifice. I really hope I’m near the end cause the fight I just failed is pretty challenging. I think I may finish it tommorrow.
Different note. I find it weird that Dishonored 2 makes you work to find a passive way to take the main target out for each chapter.
I still havent played it buts mostly because I forget its a thing when its on sale lol.
But I digress; I really want the game because its the Thief that will never exist because Th4if was so bad it killed the franchise. Dishonored II even has garret in it lol…
Mass Effect 2 was almost perfect. My only three complaints against: is your character is weaker in comparison to the first game with what powers you have, no longer being able to mod weapons & armor, and you can’t give your team mates better armor.
not being able to mod weapons sucked but i never really used it much in the first game. My 2 big complaints with ME2 was the guns having a limited supply of ammo (i know the game lore of why they switched it up but i still hate it lol) and i didnt feel like exploring as much as i did in ME1 for some reason.
Lol same on the ammo thing.
For me ME1 was really good, ME2 for whatever reason never got my attention. Sure I played through it once and its not a bad game by any stretch; but Idk why just never cared for it nearly as much.
Probably because of how the story line is though more than the gameplay.
And I have lots of time in ME1 but was when I was still on console so I have no real clue how much time.
What got me the most about ME2 was the lack of customization and that the game was a lot more linear compared to ME1. What I liked my ME1 the most was exploring the planets in the mako and shit but ME2 was more around fast paced action and story than exploring and modding your weapons/armour/leveling your character etc.
I played CoD Black Ops for literally a year straight on console… All Zombies. Because that’s the last good CoD made, all since have been terrible lol… I dont even want to know my hour count on that game.
as in it was the only game I played for a whole year
zombies was boring for me unless it was with those weird things people call friends.
I played against bots a fair bit in the multiplayer mode. Got really good at hit and became fairly hated because i could kick everyone’s ass and they couldnt touch me
The newer games are all almost multiplayer and are really good fun when you start to customize it.
