I meanā€¦ Iā€™m decent to good at Quakeā€¦ Which is a whole other level of twitch shooting compared to CS lol. I somewhat remember the strange spray patterns of most of the guns. Though I stopped playing regularly like 3 years ago so some of the new guns are confuse.

I meant from reacting to whatā€™s going on and having to be good at aiming. But meh. Last time I played CSGO deathmatch took a while to remember the annoying as hell spray patterns but then I do fairly well. Unless freaking awps campers arrive. Then I get annoyed lol.

Ah you ended up with the shitty MHD redesign of X4500. Itā€™s got a single ROP thatā€™s choked down by the PCI bus. Basically what you have is a chip that in theory has 7x the texture throughput choked down by an ROP that is 20% slower than the 4 ROPs in the 5500. If you had the older X4500 that isnā€™t based on the unified shader design you would have 4 fairly crappy ROPs that are still about 3x faster overall.

I never understood why Intel designed their first gen unified shaders so off balance. 1TMU per 8 shader cluster, with a single ROP strapped to the backend. So you end up with this incredibly lopsided 80SP/10TMU/1ROP graphics core that can barely draw a fucking sine wave at 60FPS but has the texel prowess to handle single-pass bump mapping on 512x textures. Like, what the fuck?

Itā€™s possible you can get the Gallium3D drivers that are supposed to improve performance a bit, but itā€™s unlikely to make that much of a difference.

Get H264ify if you can to reduce the load so YouTube will run. Itā€™ll defer VP8 to H264 which is a lot lighter on the older CPU/GPU.

Galium3D is an improved Mesa graphics driver. Thereā€™s an entire optimized driver set for i915/i945 (GMA X4500).
